The first version of clone armor was called Phase I clone trooper armor which was inspired by Mandalorian armor, most notably its helmet. Over the course of the war, improvements were made to the armor's design, creating lighter and stronger plates.
Mandalorians aren't exactly a race or an ethnicity, so not really. In Legends, however, clones, especially commandos and ARC troopers, were raised in Mandalorian culture, so they were more or less Mandalorians themselves due to that.
For the most part, Star Wars clones have the same face. That's because they were all created and grown using enhanced DNA from a notorious Mandalorian™ bounty hunter called Jango Fett™. Obviously, as a bounty hunter, Jango had a lot of desirable traits for creating soldiers.
Jango Fett was a renowned Mandalorian bounty hunter, assassin, mercenary, and the father of Boba Fett, a genetic clone of his, whom he raised as a son. A Human from Concord Dawn, Fett was adopted by Mandalorian warriors following the murder of his parents and the disappearance of his older sister Arla in 58 BBY.
Is Grogu Yoda? According to the events of "The Mandalorian" so far, Grogu and Yoda are not the same character. They are simply from the same species. The name of this species has never been revealed since "Star Wars" creator George Lucas wanted to give Yoda a sense of mystery.
In canon, the commandos of Clone Force 99, a.k.a. “The Bad Batch,” had varying physiques due to their modifications or cybernetics. Boba Fett was unique among Jango's clones for having no differences from his template, as an unaltered clone. Another unaltered clone, Omega, is a female version of Jango Fett.
There are many examples of female clones in Star Wars. The most famous example is undoubtedly Ysanne Isard, in Legends. Ysanne Isard was the director of Imperial Inetlligence, and in 4 ABY she cloned herself.

Notably, the Dagoyan Masters of Bardotta regarded the Jedi as thieves and kidnappers because of that practice. Some Mandalorians, most notably members of Death Watch, held a grudge against the Jedi for their perceived crimes against Mandalore during the Mandalorian-Jedi War.
Jango hated the Jedi for what they took from him. Perhaps he even hated him for having a home to return to after helping the New Mandalorians take his. Whatever the reason, he hated the Jedi enough to become essential to Palpatine's elaborate plans of genocide.
Krell was unusually callous and arrogant by Jedi standards, and did not react well to constructive criticism. He held particular disdain for clones, whom he regarded as little better than droids and just as disposable.
The Gideon we know is not the genocidal manic that decimated Mandalore but a clone. The galaxy widely believes that Moff Gideon was executed, but we are led to believe that he faked his execution.
Tarre Vizsla was a Force-sensitive human male who, was inducted into the Jedi Order around 1050 BBY, becoming the first Mandalorian to do so. Tarre eventually became a famous Jedi Knight. Vizsla created the Darksaber during his time as a Jedi.
Summary. Moff Gideon's obsession with Mandalore ties into his goal of cloning himself for immortality. Mandalore served as the perfect secret base for Gideon to carry out his cloning experiments.
Omega was the first of three female clones of Jango Fett to be introduced into Star Wars Canon, the others being Emerie Karr and Sister. The latter being transgender while Omega and Karr were engineered to be female from birth.
Although he would retain his Mandalorian armor, Prime Minister Almec of the New Mandalorians disavowed any connection to Fett, claiming that he was simply a bounty hunter who had somehow stolen an artifact from Mandalore's troubled past.
In fact, Omega specifically was still a person of interest to Imperial researcher Doctor Royce Hemlock, who wanted to capture her to force Kaminoan cloning specialist Nala Se into working for the Empire's secret cloning project on Mount Tantiss.
The unit originated as a batch of clones who were created with "desirable" genetic mutations that made them superior soldiers, as a result of genetic manipulation. These mutations also had the unique effect of altering their appearance and voice greatly compared to regular clone troopers.
Given the rarity of his species in the galaxy, along with the fact that the only other two known members of Grogu's species were both living in the Temple when he was born, it seems likely that Grogu is the child of Yoda and Yaddle and was born to help preserve their rare species.
Legend had it that Yoda—a Jedi who became Grand Master—was trained by N'Kata Del Gormo. A Force-sensitive Hysalrian, N'Kata Del Gormo was trained in the ways of the Force and achieved the rank of Master within the Jedi Order.
It was visual effects artist Christian Alzmann who cracked it and first gave Grogu his signature look. "Like a puppy dog, there's just enough white in his eyes visible to make him look adorable," Chiang completes.
