Katniss doesn't know why they would go after her and Peeta first, and Plutarch tells her because the revolution lives as long as she does. She's the mockingjay. The tributes kept Peeta alive in the arena because they knew Katniss wouldn't cooperate with the rebels if he died.
In The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, it's mentioned that several of the victors were aware of the rebellion that was in progress--and the Morphling was one of them.

Finnick was willing to give up Mags to save Peeta because he needed to, to convince Katniss they were on the same side. He receives a large cut in his leg when he was trying to save Peeta. During the events of Mockingjay, Finnick shows concern for Peeta, and goes out of his way to save Peeta's life again.

What was the point of killing Finnick?
Finnick's death gave even more weight to Katniss's mission to kill Snow, since he was directly responsible for the death of one of her friends - making it all the more poignant when she chooses to kill President Coin (Julianne Moore) instead of getting to personally kill Snow herself.
Why is Katniss furious at Finnick even though he had just saved Peeta's life?
As they walk, Katniss wonders why Finnick didn't just let Peeta die. She is angry at him because she now owes him for saving Peeta's life — she can never kill him now.

Peeta's Family Was Killed When President Snow Bombed District 12. After Katniss and Peeta won the Hunger Games, they each received a house in Victor's Village. Katniss' mother and Prim immediately moved from their home in the Seam, but Peeta's family stayed at the bakery—so District 12's boy tribute lived alone.
Chia Mags kisses Finnick on the mouth to briefly let him know that this is the last time she will see him. It's her way of saying "Goodbye" but in a more affectionate way.
As Katniss gets to know Finnick during the Quarter Quell, she sees he is in fact loyal, dutiful, and caring. For example, despite Mags being a burden on his chances of survival, Finnick does everything he can to keep the eighty-year-old alive because, as we learn, she was his mentor and he genuinely cares about her.

Katniss briefly mentioned that a previous stroke could have caused Mags' garbled speech. However, post-traumatic stress disorder could have also caused her speech incapacity.

Katniss doesn't trust him at first, mostly because Finnick is very flirtatious and seems to be working an angle. But as they work hard to survive in their second competition, Finnick becomes an ally who joins the revolution.
Peeta thanks Katniss for finding him and she says that he would have done the same. He talks about what Katniss should do if he doesn't make it back. She's worried that he might die, and to keep him from speaking of such things, she kisses him. It's her first kiss.
During the supposed execution of Snow, she instead shoots Coin, due to her being responsible for Prim's death. She then attempts to kill herself with the suicide pill attached to her uniform, but Peeta stops her.
Without reading the book, it's easy to overlook this detail. However, those familiar with the book know that Katniss was suicidal and depressed after she had avenged her sister's death. In the scene, what viewers saw was Katniss' failed attempt to kill herself before Peeta saved her.
Snow laughs after Katniss killed Coin because he enjoys the irony of the situation. He avoided the official execution ceremony, even though Panem's citizens still take their revenge on him, while Katniss ends up snatching away the victory and power that Coin thinks she has successfully secured.
Haymitch is already drinking, and Peeta gets angry with him because he's supposed to be advising them. He slaps the drink out of Haymitch's hand. Haymitch punches him, and Katniss stabs her knife into the table between his hand and the liquor bottle.
The rules for the second Quarter Quell stipulated that double the number of tributes were to be reaped from the districts for the Games. At the age of 16, Haymitch was reaped as one of District 12's two male tributes for the 50th Hunger Games alongside Maysilee Donner and another female tribute.
Katniss here's this and understands that even though she may not love Peeta (then) that it's one less person who has to die. (At least that's what I have always thought.) Katniss realizes that if she pretends to be in love with Peeta people will want the capitol to let them survive.
After winning the games, Snow forced Finnick into prostitution and sold his body to Capitol residents to gain their trust. Finnick only agreed to take part because Snow threatened to torture his loved ones. Even though he bedded several women throughout his time as a victor, Finnick's love for Annie remained true.
At an unknown point in time years before the 74th Hunger Games, she was personally fired by Snow, the stated reason being due to her being too surgically enhanced.
