Deadpool's Face & Skin Don't Heal Because Of His Cancer Similarly to his Marvel Comics counterpart, Wade Wilson was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2016's Deadpool, which spurred him to undergo experimentation in an effort to unlock his latent mutant abilities and cure his cancer.
It has been revealed that at the time his healing ability was given to him, Deadpool suffered from some form of cancer; after the healing factor was given to him, it made his normal cells as well as his cancerous cells unable to die, giving him a heavily scarred appearance beneath his suit.
Deadpool's new powers as Apocalypse's Famine manifest through the antihero's mouth, from which Deadpool can conjure a deadly cloud of locusts. In order to control this ability, Deadpool has his mouth sewn shut, and only breaks the stitching when he needs to unleash his disgusting yet incredibly effective new ability.
Hell, his cancer is still there too, as shown in Deadpool 2. So plastic surgery wouldn't work since his face would just heal itself back into the ugly state.
After being diagnosed with inoperable cancer Deadpool joined the infamous Weapon X Program, and was implanted with an artificial healing factor modeled after Wolverine's. Unfortunately, that power soon failed, and his cancer returned, leaving Wade deformed and grotesque.
During 2018's Deadpool 2, Wilson is imprisoned in the Ice Box, and his powers are blocked. His cancer returned, proving it hadn't been cured, and his scarring was revealed to be completely irreversible.
Ultimately, the Merc with the Mouth became a fan-favorite hero, and in modern stories, his healing outshines even that of Wolverine, with Wade able to survive incredible injury, from decapitation to incineration.
Behind the jokes and the usual insanity, Deadpool ain't just depressive, but also very bitter. He has a grudge against the world, and has a grudge against himself. But he also has a grudge against Wolverine, and that's where his “hatred" of him comes from, if and when it's shown; It's jealousy.
The reason for this could be that Deadpool's healing factor actually heals over the cancerous and mutated cells that cover his body, explaining why he hasn't died from them as well as why his skin and body look the way they do.
What happened to Deadpool's face? Deadpool's disfigurement is the result of his healing factor constantly fighting his cancer. He gets to live but is h horribly scarred.
Deadpool's trap separated Thor from his hammer long enough that he turned back into Olsen and Deadpool then took advantage of the chaos to grab the hammer... Deadpool then transformed into a version of Thor!
If his head is chopped off and not reattached, the head will grow the body back. The body will die. Once the severed part of Deadpool's whole form begins to heal, the limbs/parts cut off can't be attached to him again, additionally they will begin to rot separate from him.
The fast-talking gunman seems almost fearless on the battlefield, but in reality, there's a lot that scares the Merc with the Mouth. There are two things though, that scare him above all: cows and clowns are a Deadpool weakness.
Throughout the entire movie, it is said that he frequently displays many different psychological disorders including attention deficit hyperactive disorder, manic depression disorder, and schizophrenia. One of the disorders Deadpool is diagnosed with is severe ADHD, also known as attention deficit hyperactive disorder.
Deadpool is one of many heroes in the Marvel universe that has managed to have numerous children throughout his comic career. Some of his most notable offspring have included a child he had with Lady Death named Deathpool and a son made from his and Wolverine's DNA named Junior.
But Deadpool's healing factor isn't just strong, it's also fast. He can regenerate entire limbs in a matter of minutes, and his body can quickly recover from injuries that would kill a normal person.
Months later, T-Ray, now an agent of Thanos resurrects Deadpool, who has been killed in a fight with Weapon X, using an artifact Thanos gave him to create many copies of Deadpool. Thanos is jealous of Deadpool's relationship with Death and T-Ray is to "curse him with immortality" so that he may never see Death again.
The way his healing factor works is that as long as a single cell of Deadpool remains, any and every part of his body is capable of regenerating at an alarming rate. This allows Deadpool to survive everything from a stab through the heart to decapitation.
While Deadpool and Wolverine are both practically immortal because of their respective healing factors, the way the two abilities work within their bodies are very different.
There are also some instances where they don't see eye to eye, a key example of this is that Deadpool's a mercenary and lacks morals. Despite this, they have been shown to have incredible teamwork and in truth Deadpool has a deep admiration for Spider-Man, and wants nothing more than to be his best friend.
Although Deadpool got his powers when Department K infused him with Wolverine's mutant DNA, his healing factor was ultimately superior to Logan's. Wolverine's healing factor can't regrow lost limbs, for example. Deadpool's healing factor allowed him to regrow any limb that was lost or severed. Including his head.
Of course this is the Immortal Hulk we are talking about and no other Hulks. Hulk could potentially heal faster than Deadpool due to the whole angrier he gets the faster he heals things. But they are pretty much at the same level currently.
Deadpool can survive a nuclear bomb -- how hard could it be, right? The merc has been known for being indestructible, but you would have never guessed that he could survive his very atoms being blown to bits.
Like Deadpool and Wolverine – but way less publicized – the Hulk has the ability to grow entirely new tissue and heal from most wounds in just seconds. Severe wounds as well – including the near-complete destruction of his body mass – are also no match for the healing abilities of the Hulk.
