Among them is her friend Madge Undersee, who convinces Katniss to take her mockingjay pin as her tribute token – an object a tribute is allowed to carry to the games to boost morale. The pin with a mockingjay on it is a small gesture of rebellion to the evil Capitol that rules their world.
The pin depicts a bird that Katniss comes to recognize as a mockingjay, a species of bird that resulted from a failed Capitol project. The pin, then, is a reminder of the Capitol's failure, of the possibility of the Capitol's failure, and thus hints at the possibility of rebellion.
In the spirit of honoring past tributes who had fallen in the Games, perhaps Madge simply wanted to honor her aunt's legacy, and she gifted the Mockingjay pin to Katniss as a kind of blessing on her, in the hopes that her fate would be different from that of her aunt's.

Why did Katniss like Rue so much?
In The Hunger Games, the first tribute Katniss allied with was the twelve-year-old Rue from District 11. Katniss was drawn to Rue as she reminded her of her little sister Prim and sought to protect her in the Games.
Later in the novel, however, the birds come to symbolize a different sort of defiance. Mockingjays become a link between Katniss and Rue, with the two using the birds to communicate. When Rue dies, Katniss decorates her body with flowers as a means of memorializing Rue, but also to defy the Capitol.

Chia Mags kisses Finnick on the mouth to briefly let him know that this is the last time she will see him. It's her way of saying "Goodbye" but in a more affectionate way.
Katniss made the choice to build her future with Peeta. If she didn't love him, she wouldn't have made that choice. Katniss made her whole world about getting the people she cared about to the next day, her choice to survive with Peeta proves her love for him.
