However, she later forgives Jake when he returns to the Omatikaya as the sixth Toruk Makto because she realizes that he was a traitor to the Sky People, not the Na'vi and that his love for her is true and far deeper than Neytiri ever thought.
Jake learned the ways of the Na'vi hunters from Neytiri and fell in love with her. He was accepted into the Omatikaya clan and became Neytiri's mate. After bonding with the Na'vi, Jake abandoned his mission and no longer allied with the RDA.
Neytiri becomes charmed by his stubbornness, surprised by his toughness and impressed by his eagerness to learn. She teaches Jake to link to a direhorse so that he understands the interconnectivity between species. She helps him bond with an ikran, a banshee that will become his aerial mount for life.

How old is Neytiri in Navi Years?
For one, even if Neytiri is 18 in human years, she's the Na'vi equivalent of a human in their early-to-mid-twenties. This is proven in three different ways: James Cameron has stated that Jake's avatar body is around 17 human years old.
When Neytiri was 18 years old in 2154, she met Jake Sully in a Pandoran forest, rescuing him from a pack of viperwolves. Neytiri became his teacher in the ways of the Na'vi.
