1 Trinity Is At Least As Powerful As Neo, If Not More
She is exceptionally gifted at learning new abilities, much like Neo, given that she masters helicopter piloting with nothing more than a cerebrally downloaded operating manual.
Neo's self-doubt affects his mindset and makes him weaker as a result. He also engages in intense battles against Agent Smith and his army of clones which takes a toll on him both physically and mentally, making him appear progressively weaker.
In The Matrix, being The One meant that Neo could perceive the Matrix simulation in a way that no other human could. Not only that, but The One would also have the ability to bend the Matrix simulation code, meaning that The One would not have to answer to any of the rules inside the Matrix, such as gravity.
Neo and Trinity are ambushed by the stowaway Bane/Smith, who blinds Neo with an electric cable, but is killed when Neo discovers an ability to "see" programs and machines independently without his eyesight.
Scaling Neo's power is easier when comparing Keanu Reeves' character to Agent Smith. Before fully awakening his potential, Neo is soundly beaten by the Agent, but overtakes the enemy program after evolving into The One.
Before being reborn, Smith was the perfect antithesis to Neo; where Neo freed minds, Smith took them over, adding them to his web and taking their abilities. He even gained the power of flight and proved he could do almost anything Neo could. As a result, his return in Resurrections showed him at more of an advantage.
Summary. The Matrix 4 failed to meet expectations set by the original trilogy, receiving poor reviews and performing worse at the box office. The absence of Lawrence Fishburne as Morpheus in The Matrix 4 frustrated fans who adored his portrayal of the character in the previous films.
Essentially, the process of being resurrected and reuploaded into the Matrix (and coded all over again whenever he tried to escape) has quashed Neo's One powers.
Sunglasses Are An Allegory For Seeing Truth In The Matrix
But like almost everything in The Matrix, the Wachowskis' use of sunglasses does have several thematic functions. On a visual level, the sunglasses help to differentiate between those who are "awake" and those who are still part of the simulation.
Throughout the series, her original name (prior to being freed from the Matrix) is never revealed. In The Matrix Resurrections, she is given the name "Tiffany", which she hates, and goes by the nickname "Tiff".
Throughout the film, it is apparent that Trinity has been in love with Neo from afar for some time, although she continues to conceal her feelings for him.
The fact the the Architect even said that Neo's love for Trinity was the reason he chose to save Trinity rather than to reset the Matrix as all other “One's” had before him. Two problems with this: Trinity's reading from the Oracle was that she would love the One.
The studio has announced plans to continue the franchise, with a fifth Matrix movie now in development. It will be the first installment in the cyber-action film series without either Lana or Lily Wachowski as directors.
At the same time, Smith develops an animosity towards the Matrix itself, feeling that he is as much a prisoner of it as the humans he is tasked with controlling. He later develops an immense and increasingly open desire for the destruction of both mankind and machines.
Morpheus died in The Matrix Online, a game that is part of the “Matrix Expanded Universe” and is considered Matrix canon. Therefore, Morpheus' death could not be ignored in The Matrix Resurrections. As for Agent Smith, Hugo Weaving could not return for The Matrix Resurrections due to scheduling conflicts.
While later films make it clear that Neo is arguably the most powerful being within the Matrix, initially at least, Morpheus is able to beat him in a fistfight.
Agent Smith is a former Agent of the Matrix. After initially being destroyed by Neo, he became an Exile and manifested as a computer virus with the uncanny ability to copy himself over the minds of Bluepills, Redpills and programs alike.
In the showdown between Smith and Neo in the pit, we learn that the Oracle can control Smith and make him do what she wants. Smith literally speaks the Oracles words to Neo. This means she purposefully let Smith cause all that damage and kill every inhabitant of the Matrix to orchestrate the showdown in the Pit.
Realising what he has to do, Neo chooses to be assimilated by Smith – allowing Neo (and Deus Ex Machina) to destroy him from the inside, exploding all the Smiths as they glow with pure white Source light.
Even if Neo retains his hand-to-hand combat skills in a true reality, he's no match for Wick's deadly precision or his ability to use whatever's on hand to do some serious damage. But beyond that, Neo isn't used to fighting real people.
