Namor doesn't think the surface is friendly, having experienced nothing but war and bloodshed from his brief incursion there. That is why he's angry Wakanda exposed the world to vibranium, as it means foreign parties, like Countess Val and the CIA in America, will come to mine their resources.
Now that Wakanda is exposed to the world, Talokan's charismatic ruler Namor (Tenoch Huerta) fears his watery kingdom will also be threatened by the superpowers of the surface. But the two nations turn against each other, and Namor leads an attack that kills Wakanda's Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett).
Namor isn't angry because he's crazy, he's angry because severe injustice has been done to his people and home and he wants to avenge that. Everything about Namor is about him trying to navigate two worlds and the anger he feels at the harm one side has done to the other. Namor means “Avenging Son” for a reason.
This sent Namor into a rage when he realized Wakanda attacked him in his land, and he came for revenge. He killed Ramonda, and this sent Shuri to a dark place. With her brother dead and Namor killing her mother, she wanted nothing more than to kill the King of Talokan.

Who is Namor's arch nemesis?
If Namor has an arch-villain, it is probably Attuma, a fellow Atlantean and ruthless warlord. He believes himself destined to conquer Atlantis, and he has attempted it on several occasions, succeeding more than once. During the most recent attempt, Attuma is stopped by Robert Reynolds, AKA Sentry, who kills him.
In the comics, Namor was written as an antagonist, never truly being a hero or a villain. He fought on both sides, with the heroes: Doctor Strange, Hulk, Captain America, Bucky Barnes, the Human Torch, Toro, and Silver Surfer— as well as the villains: Doctor Doom and Magneto.
But ultimately, while there was clear chemistry between Shuri and Namor, it was for the best that Marvel Studios decided to do without their potential love line.
When it comes to Namor's vitality, heat-based attacks are one of the major causes for concern—Shuri's (Letitia Wright) plan of attack in Wakanda Forever depicts precisely that. Very much like water deficiency, dehydration causes Namor's body to dry faster and weaken rapidly, which makes his abilities less effective.
Namor gets trounced when the Squadron Supreme attacks Atlantis because of the Atlantis ruler's contributions to the fall of Earth-31916 and Earth-4290001. It all ends in a barbaric fashion, with Namor getting decapitated.
Though his successor, Shuri, eventually managed to defeat Namor, T'Challa likely would have had the battle better in hand than his sister did. T'Challa was ultimately more experienced than Shuri, giving him an extra edge in battle, even against the likes of Namor.
Namor thinks the Talokan can advance their objectives of destroying the surface people as part of that war. He might also have a personal motive for getting the alliance between his people and Wakanda, as his chemistry with Shuri (Letitia Wright), was more than obvious.
The leader of Atlantis unleashed a massive tidal wave on the country that killed countless people. Soon after, Namor lost his part of the Phoenix Force, and T'Challa made it clear he would never forgive the transgression. Wakanda and Atlantis were officially at war.
The other major difference between Wakanda Forever and its source material is the rewriting of Namor and his people, usually depicted as white in the comics, as Mesoamerican. In the film, the underwater kingdom of Atlantis is renamed Talokan, inspired by Mayan mythology.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has a lot to live up to with its villain, Namor. Killmonger (played by Michael B. Jordan) was the sinister antithesis of T'Challa, an exact foil to a hero dedicated to his people and doing the right thing no matter what.

Shuri was impaled by a badly exhausted and dehydrated Namor. However, the heart shaped herb gives the recipient (Shuri) great strength and regenerative abilities.
The truce between Wakanda and Talokan in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ending explained by Namor hints at his next moves. During the final battle, Shuri is able to lure Namor away from his water power source long enough to defeat him.

In the final scene of the movie, we see Shuri go to Haiti to meet up with Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o), T'Challa's lover before his death. She helps Shuri finally move on by allowing Shuri to burn the white outfit she wore to T'Challa's funeral, as is the tradition in Wakanda.
