Further footage reveals that Neo dismisses recollections of his past as just dreams before he is awakened to his true purpose by a new Morpheus-like character played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Throughout the onscreen action, Reeves' character appears significantly older – depicted with long hair and a beard.
Neo's self-doubt affects his mindset and makes him weaker as a result. He also engages in intense battles against Agent Smith and his army of clones which takes a toll on him both physically and mentally, making him appear progressively weaker.
Sensing the power in Neo and Trinity's connection, he persuaded his machine bosses to let him take their bodies. The Analyst then resurrected them using resurrection pods created by Sati's parents and plugged Neo and Trinity back into the Matrix, using them as a source code to build a new iteration.

The studio has announced plans to continue the franchise, with a fifth Matrix movie now in development. It will be the first installment in the cyber-action film series without either Lana or Lily Wachowski as directors.
Neo's powers generally don't carry over into reality, but his unique coding does create an inherent link to the Machines, meaning The One can affect mechanical enemies even in the outside world. Neo's One abilities put him far above the likes of Trinity and Morpheus.
1 Trinity Is At Least As Powerful As Neo, If Not More
The fact that Trinity now possesses powers identical to those of the One implies that the real Prime Program is the nexus of emotion between her and Neo, and not just the latter.
Having embraced his power as The One, Neo shows those powers by flying off at the end of The Matrix. His mission is much bigger now, so he has the increased power to match with it that aids the franchise's future installments, which go into much crazier places.
The Analyst realized that Neo and Trinity were the magic ingredients needed for the Matrix to work properly, and so enslaved them both in the new version of the Matrix. The machines also kept Neo and Trinity's bodies nice and healthy, presumably so they could continue powering the Matrix for many years to come.
The absence of Lawrence Fishburne as Morpheus in The Matrix 4 frustrated fans who adored his portrayal of the character in the previous films. The Matrix Resurrections had lower stakes and a more somber tone compared to the original trilogy, which may have turned audiences off from the movie.
In The Matrix Resurrections, Trinity develops the same reality warping powers as Neo after being reawakened to her true identity. Before being reborn, Smith was the perfect antithesis to Neo; where Neo freed minds, Smith took them over, adding them to his web and taking their abilities. While later films make it clear that Neo is arguably the most powerful being within the Matrix, initially at least, Morpheus is able to beat him in a fistfight.
