The biggest gut-punch in the whole movie, Eddie Kaspbrak, aka Eds, aka Eddie Spaghetti, dies after Pennywise stabs him in the chest with one of his giant spider-claws.
We learn that Richie Tozier, the fast-talking, foul-mouthed teenager (played by Finn Wolfhard) who grew up to be a popular stand-up comedian (Bill Hader) is gay and has been secretly in love with his friend and fellow club member Eddie Kaspbrak (played as an adult by James Ransone).
A neighbor witnesses his disappearance, but the fact his body is never found gives Bill hope Georgie somehow survived. Pennywise prays on this in the film, using that hope to lure Bill in the finale. Bill later finds the tatters of Georgie's coat and finally accepts his brother is gone.
In the adaptation of It Chapter Two, Richie is portrayed as being secretly in love with Eddie Kaspbrak until the latter's death, and Eddie remained unaware of these feelings.

In the novel, It's origins are nebulous. He took the form of a clown most frequently, Mr. Bob Gray or Pennywise, but his true form is an ancient eldritch entity from another universe who landed in the town that would become Derry by way of an asteroid and first awoke in 1715.
Stan was a very methodical and mature child; he suffers from OCD. He is also the most skeptical and fearful of Pennywise, not being able to accept the happenings around him at first and terrified to believe that IT is real. His Fear: Stan is constantly haunted by the painting of “The Flute Lady” in his father's office.
Unfortunately, Eddie is a victim of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy with his own mother as the abuser. This means Mrs. Kaspbrak has been faking all of Eddie's illnesses in order to have unlimited control over him. Even his asthma inhaler is a placebo or "gazeebo" as the 2017 version of Eddie so hilariously puts it.
With the infamy of the sex content, it's understandable that IT's controversial sewer scene was left out of the 1990 miniseries and Muschietti's film, as it would be an extremely difficult scene to adapt for many (obvious) reasons.

Childhood Friend Romance — Richie and Eddie know each other since they're at least 11 in the book, and at least 13 in the movies. Dying Declaration of Love — In the book, Eddie dies on Richie's arms about to say something that it's widely interpretated as what was going to be a love declaration.
I recommend this film to everyone who loves slightly disturbing films and TV shows like me but for anyone under the age of 13 you really should not watch it. It's very gory and contains adult language.
