This is the first time that the name "Finn" is written on a title card since "Finn the Human". When an angry ghost mauls Finn and Jake, Jake thinks about their impending death. He says that, since a lot of dead people will be there, they might become separated. So as a means of identification, Jake tells him to listen for a rhythmic clapping sound he will perform.
During Adventure Time, it was revealed that Finn and Jake were the same age, and the series ended when Finn was 17. Therefore, it would only make sense that Jake would pass away by the time Finn reached adulthood.
Finn was, for a long time, the only confirmed human in the Land of Ooo, to the point where he had an epithet, "The Human", and was referred to by many as "Finn the Human". The reason for this is revealed in the episode "Her Parents," as Lady Rainicorn's dad believed that humans were extinct.
Finn loses his arm when the Lich destroys the Citadel, and Martin escapes. Finn is changed by the loss of his arm and becomes disillusioned with his father. A flower blooms from the stump where Finn's arm used to be, and eventually grows into a new arm.

Why did a flower grow out of Finn's arm?
When the Citadel Guardian's blood got on the stub where Finn's arm once was, his arm didn't grow back, but it instead left behind a flower, which was likely a remnant of the sword. In "Breezy" it's revealed that the condition of the flower is based on Finn's emotional state.
Martin Mertens. Martin Mertens is a major antagonist in Adventure Time. He is Finn's biological father, but he doesn't care about him at all, the reason behind his behavior is because of brain damage that he suffered in the past.
Shermy is confirmed to be a reincarnation of Finn, which makes sense considering their similarities and the fact that Finn can resurrect when he wants and be another living being due to being an incarnation of the Blue Catalyst Comet.

At her tree, Jake teases Finn again about liking the Wizard, but Finn denies it and goes to sleep. In the morning, Huntress Wizard takes the two to a magic spring to drink from so they can be immune to the magic boar's lightning powers.
Why do Jake's pups age so fast? According to some theories, they mature fast because of their hybrid genetics. Lady Rainicorn can age rapidly, and so does Jake the Dog. In the episode “Jake the Dad,” in a span of two days, Lady and Jake's puppies grew from newborns to young adults.
Choose Goose turns evil after drinking the blood of Coconteppi, suggesting this is why he ended up in the 1st Deadworld in "Together Again." However, given the fact he was still good in "Together Again" indicates he must have turned back to his normal self at some point in time.
After receiving training from his true father Warren Ampersand, Jake can now change to a blue color and in this state, his powers are even more advanced. He was able to grow a pair of wings which allowed him to take flight.

In Distant Lands, we learn that Finn and Jake both die eventually, and after finding each other again in the Land of the Dead, they're reincarnated (as what, no one knows), presumably fated to go on more adventures together.
And if you plug in that number to divide 28 by the 2.4 magical dog years per human year rate at which we speculate Jake ages, then that tells you that it takes about 11.667 human years for Jake to age 28 years. When Finn was 12 human years old, Jake was about 11.667 human years old.
The three are forced to run from the Lich, as he begins to destroy the Citadel. At this time, Martin flees, and Finn tries to give chase, but his grass sword takes over his entire arm, causing Finn to lose it.
Beth is very clearly a descendant of Jake the Dog and the pups he had with Lady Rainicorn (a rainbow/unicorn species that comes from the crystal dimension). Meanwhile, Shermy is a cat-like creature who some fans believe to be the reincarnation of Finn, but that's just a theory.
Finn may be the last human in the Land of Ooo, or possibly the world. In the episode "Her Parents," Lady Rainicorn's dad says he thought humans were extinct. This lends new significance to his title "Finn the Human," as his humanity may be unique in Ooo.
Martin was originally supposed to appear in "The Lich" after Billy told Finn about him; he was a warrior who was unintentionally trapped in the Crystal Citadel, a prison that is difficult to enter and nearly impossible to escape.
Eventually, as by this time, Finn believes there is no way to escape the Pillow World, Finn abandons his relationship with Flame Princess to start a new life with Roselinen, having two kids named Jay and Bonnie.
Princess Bubblegum. Finn had a rather obvious crush, which he denied before the events of the episode "Wizard Battle," on Princess Bubblegum, whom he occasionally calls "Peebles" and other nicknames out of affection.
