Weller did not care for the RoboCop franchise - Weller has never been complimentary of the film series even though it basically saved him from what was shaping up to be a selection of character roles or even television fame.
Summary. Joel Kinnaman believes that the 2014 RoboCop film failed because the filmmakers didn't fully consider what the franchise meant to the fans and didn't capture the tonal satire of the original.
