With The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power taking place mid-way through the Second Age of Middle-earth, Isildur's introduction into the story is far sooner than in Tolkien's lore. But being a show that needs to condense a plethora of details into something watchable, it's an understandable change.

In the War of the Last Alliance, Isildur cut the One Ring from Sauron's hand, but refused to destroy it. Isildur was later killed by Orcs in Disaster of the Gladden Fields, and the Ring was lost for nearly 2,500 years. His refusal to destroy the Ring allowed Sauron to endure and remain a threat to Middle-earth.
Is Isildur in The Rings of Power related to Aragorn?
Thousands of years after the events of The Rings of Power, Aragorn, Isildur's descendant, used this relationship to claim his place as the ruler of Arnor and Gondor. Unlike Isildur, who wished to keep the ring as a prize for his family, Aragorn joins the fellowship in order to see it destroyed.

Does Isildur become a Nazgûl?
Sauron revived Isildur with one of the nine rings, and then tortured him until his spirit was broken and he became a Nazgûl. The specific power of his ring allowed him to raise the dead and have them fight by his side as mindless minions.
Isildur was Aragorn's remote ancestor. He died at the beginning of the Third Age (TA), in TA 2. Aragorn was born 2929 years later, on March 1, TA 2931. His father was Arathorn II, Chieftain of the Dunedain.
The Elven King named Gil-galad fought side-by-side with Elendil, the King of Men. Together they managed to mortally wound Sauron, but the fight cost them their lives. This is when Isildur, son of Elendil, took his father's sword and cut the Ring from Sauron's hand, dealing the final blow.

When Halbrand and Galadriel captured Adar, Adar seemed not to recognize Halbrand as Sauron. Adar also claimed to have killed Sauron after watching Sauron experiment on the orcs, whom Adar sees as his children. It's possible Adar was pretending not to recognize Sauron as part of a ruse.
Known to moviegoers as a giant flaming eye, this malevolent being was revealed at the end of the Prime Video series' first season as a handsome, daring rogue—and apparent human—named Halbrand (Charlie Vickers). In the season two trailer, he is introduced in the opening shots with flaming eyes again.
Although the Stranger hasn't been officially confirmed to be an early version of Gandalf, the most famous of Middle-earth's wizards, the show hasn't exactly disabused that impression, either.
Will the blue wizards appear in The Rings of Power?
The streaming service now has access to all five of the Istari in their show. The five Istari included Saruman the White, Gandalf the Grey, Radagast the Brown, and the two Blue Wizards. They also have access to state that they came to Middle-Earth sometime during the Second Age.
