Overview

A Long time wait movie ‘shikara’ by vidhu vinod chopra,About Kashmiri Pandit exodus from Kashmir in the year 1990 and its mainly showcase Love between shiv kumar dhar(Aadil Khan) and shanti dhar(sadia) in the period of conflict.Vidhu vinod chopra didn’t showed detailed Kashmir issue which led to controversy.The first half shows life in Kashmir and scary surrounding,second half life after the exodus.i personly liked direction of vidhu vinod chopra and he known for his work in Parinda,khamosh and many more and produced some classics like 3 idiots,munna bhai M.B.B.S and PK.And shanti dhar and shiv kumar dhar character was so bonded and touchy.movie is not about kashmir. it is of ‘two’ their life and struggle and some circumstance through out the life.

This movie mainly about Love,Friendship,Waiting,poetry and Humanity,Rating is horrible in imdb and some other website,if you ask me i think its a really good movie,in this website i don’t talk spoilers a so called non-spoiler review.i read some critic reviews which tells the movie support militancy.i think narrative of the movie was not to show the kashmir issue,which We Don’t know whats happening there.our media does not cover.Movie showed a persons life his ups and down in the through out the movie.
