Language is mild to PG-13. But is there a teen party where there is lots of drugs and passionate kissing in the background. There is also a scene where the main character Cher gets robbed at gunpoint. (***NO BLOOD OR VIOLENCE***) So in my opinion it is not for younger kids.
Because of some of the content I wouldn't recommend the movie for younger children, but teens and upwards would get a kick out of the sweet romance. Otherwise, this is a great family movie for those of y'all who have older kids.

With loads of adult references, out-of-touch jokes, language, drinking, drug use, and some slapstick violence, older teens and up make the best audience for The Animal, though even those viewers likely won't enjoy the film.
The writing in this movie is just plain phenomenal, and the comedy: golden. However, Deadpool is not for kids. While this film does have an incredible story, amazing writing and fantastic acting, its also VERY mature in almost every aspect.
