But before the battle for Coruscant, they had to split up and Rex went with Ahsoka to Mandalore, and Anakin went to Coruscant. After that, Anakin and Rex never saw each other again.
The last time Rex and Anakin saw each other was Anakin promoting Rex to commander so he could lead the 332nd Company to lay a siege on Mandalore before the latter rushed to go rescue Chancellor Palpatine from Count Dooku and General Grievous.
Later, Rex was reunited with his old friend Ahsoka Tano when she returned with news of Maul's location on Mandalore. In an emotional reunion, Rex and his men painted their helmets orange in an homage to their former commander and agreed to follow Ahsoka into battle once more.
However, Ventress underestimated Rex's mental strength—Rex contacted Skywalker, but addressed him as his first name, "Anakin," instead of his usual "General Skywalker", which warned the Jedi of something amiss.
Given clones have an accelerated growth rate, it's entirely possible for Rex to be in Return of the Jedi as an older man. Sabine Wren confirmed in Star Wars Rebels that Rex was present at the Battle of Endor, but whether he was seen on-screen in Return of the Jedi remains in canon limbo.

Did Luke ever meet Rex?
Whether or not he was the rebel commando named Nik Sant is the subject of debate: However, in the New Canon Rex did serve with Luke, Han and Leia at least once.
For most of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was led by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano, and Clone Captain Rex, who served as their first in command.
This shows that Rex not only knew about Anakin and Padmé's relationship, but they trusted him to keep their secret. Despite Rex's efforts, that episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars showed that Obi-Wan already knew about Anakin and Padmé.
Rex was 100 percent loyal to Anakin and was his truest friend out in the field. Anakin had to hide so much of himself from other Jedi, but he could be completely open with Rex, and he knew that Rex would never betray him.
The adult clones Obi-Wan saw on Kamino were only about a decade old. That, unfortunately, makes a Rex cameo in Ahsoka difficult. By this point in the Star Wars timeline, Rex would be well into his 80s. Throw in advanced aging, and it's unlikely Rex — or any other clone — would still be alive to make an appearance.
Rex and Ahsoka are very close friends, having met each other at the battle of Christophsis after she was assigned as Anakin's apprentice. He took an immediate liking towards her and later congratulated her when she helped Anakin destroy the Separatists' shield generator.
Rex was added to the main cast of Star Wars Rebels television series, set fifteen years after The Clone Wars, in the second season. Now seemingly a much older man due to accelerated aging, Rex lives with fellow clone troopers Commander Wolffe and Captain Gregor.

As the captain of the 501st, Rex served as second-in-command to Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, whose bravery and unconventionality in battle he came to share. In addition to being a close friend of Skywalker, he also became friends with Skywalker's apprentice, Ahsoka Tano.
The “Ahsoka” series is expected to be set around the same time as “The Mandalorian” – almost eight years after the events of “Return of the Jedi,” by which time the Rex character will be a chronological age of 44 and a biological age/appearance of a man well into his 80s (Morrison is 62).
While Morrison seems to leave the door open that Obi-Wan Kenobi's clone veteran is Captain Rex, the Star Wars canon indicates otherwise. Rex says in Star Wars Rebels that he believes Kenobi is dead and seemingly hasn't interacted with him since before Order 66 happened.
Did Ahsoka Tano know Darth Vader was her former master, Anakin Skywalker when she fought him in "Star Wars Rebels"? She was fully aware it was him. In the events leading up to that fight we see when Ahsoka first initially gets some hint as to who the Dark Lord was when her, Kanan and Ezra try to gauge Vader's strength.
As the conflict raged on, she learned that its politics were not as black and white as she once thought and eventually entered into a relationship (and marriage) with Lux Bonteri, son of former Confederate senator Mina Bonteri.
The 7th Sky Corps was a corps of the Grand Army of the Republic under the joint command of Clone marshal commander Cody and High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi.
But these complaints often ignore the sheer number of Jedi who did die during Order 66 and shortly afterward. We are talking about, at least, a few thousand. Considering how few survivors there are—less than 100 as of 2023—the actual death toll is probably closer to nine thousand or so. That's still a lot of dead Jedi!
According to Imperial Estimates in Star Wars Inside #87, only about 100 of the Jedi survived Order 66. Most were subsequently hunted down and killed in the years following the Great Jedi Purge.
Rex is actually 31 years old, though his biological state is likely closer to at least sixty years, due to the accelerated aging that was genetically installed in all Clone Troopers. Because of their accelerating aging, Clones age twice as faster than regular humans.
After Ashoka and Vader face off in season two (the season finale, I believe), Ashoka has a moment of realization, and Rex has a similar, though less prominent moment like that in a later season. Unfortunately, Rex and Vader never meet again though.
