Even broody, always-on-the-move Blade has a family to go back to: his longtime love Safron Caulder and their teenage daughter Brielle Brooks. Despite magical deals and years of work to ensure his kid would lead a normal life, Bri takes after her father, complete with a vampiric side of her own.
While originally depicted as a human immune to vampire bites, Blade was retroactively established to be a dhampir following his adaptation as such in Spider-Man: The Animated Series and the Blade film series. He is the father of Brielle "Bri" Brooks (Bloodline).

Deacon Frost is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He appears in The Tomb of Dracula, and is an enemy of Blade. In the comics, Deacon Frost was depicted as a tall, white-haired, late middle-aged gentleman with red eyes, and wearing 1860s Germany period clothing.
Blade is powerful enough to actually kill Ghost Rider, a feat even the most cosmically powerful entities can't do. While it went against everything the vampire hunter stands for, Blade reached a near unparalleled level of power by absorbing Marvel Comics' darkest heroes.
She was adopted by Thor after the death of her father, Gorr the God Butcher. Love is one of few people within the MCU to have the ability to weld Strombreaker, alongside her adoptive father, Thor, and Steve Rogers.

Blade revealed Frost to be the vampire who attacked and killed his mother, Tara Brooks, as she was giving birth to him in a UK brothel. Already showing a penchant for duplicity and guile, Frost posed as Brooks' doctor just to get close enough to feed on her when she was at her most vulnerable.
Soon afterward, Blade is influenced by outside forces and becomes a corrupted version of himself called Switchblade. He kills several allies, including Morbius.
In actuality, as revealed on the DVD commentary by writer David Goyer, del Toro decided to change the villain for the follow up film. Morbius was tied strictly to Norrington, so he was dropped when the director left the franchise.
