After receiving the armor from Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, Grogu was presented with a choice of choosing the armor or Yoda's second lightsaber, symbolizing the path of a Jedi or giving into his attachment and returning to Djarin. Ultimately, Grogu chose the chainmail and decided to return to Din Djarin.
That said, just because Grogu picked the beskar armor, Grogu could still get a lightsaber in the future, specifically, the Darksaber. Din still possesses the ancient weapon by the end of The Book of Boba Fett. Unless he loses it in future combat, the weapon could theoretically be passed down to Grogu.
Grogu was one of the first students trained by the young Jedi Master at his newly established Jedi Temple. Grogu would go on to use this weapon throughout most of his long life, tinkering with it and upgrading it as he got older.
Until Grogu begins to grow and resemble Master Yoda more in size, it's unlikely he'll get any other pieces of armor – perhaps another rondel to protect his back. But Din's words do hint that he intends for Grogu to wear a helmet someday. They are a clan of two, after all.
It was believed that Grogu would eventually become a victim of Kylo Ren's destruction of Luke's Jedi Order. However, The Book of Boba Fett revealed that Grogu chose to follow the Way of the Mandalorian rather than become a Jedi, sparing him from Kylo Ren's wrath.

Did Grogu survive Kylo Ren?
While fans don't know the state of Grogu's well-being in the sequel trilogy, his ties to Mandalore might explain why Kylo Ren doesn't kill him. It's likely Grogu stays with Din Djarin and the Mandalorians, and never returns to embark on his training with Luke.
Din Grogu (/ˈɡroʊɡu/), colloquially referred to as Baby Yoda, is a character from the Star Wars Disney+ original television series The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. He is a toddler member of the same species as the Star Wars characters Yoda and Yaddle, with whom he shares a strong ability in the Force.
Grogu may not have chosen to stay with the Jedi, but The Mandalorian season 3 accidentally made him a Jedi knight - from a certain point of view. Grogu is much stronger in the Force after training under Luke Skywalker, having spent some time with the Jedi Master at his new Jedi Academy on Ossus.
Grogu had to make a choice, choose the lightsaber and continue on the Jedi path or choose the beskar armor made for him at the request of his Mandalorian mentor Din Djarin and surrender to the bond he had with him, renouncing the Jedi.
In the episode, Mando and Grogu find the former Jedi Ahsoka Tano so that she can train him. Using the Force, she communicates with Grogu and reveals his name to Mando. Fans were conflicted about the name at the time, with some saying they'd rather stick to the Baby Yoda moniker.
However, Grogu does not seem interested in the Force and the Jedi ways. So Luke offers Grogu a choice by putting a piece of Mandalorian net armor (given to him by The Mandalorian earlier in the episode) and a small lightsaber before him. Luke said that the lightsaber was the same one owned by Yoda.
"Indeed. Do you understand its significance?" The Darksaber was an ancient and unique black-bladed lightsaber created by Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian ever inducted into the Jedi Order, around 1050 BBY.
As depicted in "Chapter 20: The Foundling," Grogu was rescued from the attack on the Jedi Temple by Jedi Master Kelleran Beq. Beq completed the daring escape that got Grogu to safety, then escaped the attack with his life.
Grogu's age was revealed in The Mandalorian episode 1, where he was confirmed to be 50 years old. This is the one definite date given in the show, as Grogu's exact age is never mentioned again in later seasons.
Jango Fett was a Mandalorian. He got the distinctive Beskar steel armor and attached weapons systems the same way every other warrior of the clan did; he earned it. Jango fought in the Mandalorian Civil War as a Mandalorian Commando. He was a foundling, just like Din Djarin long after him.
In the Star Wars prequels, Jango removes his helmet more or less whenever he's not fighting, happy for Obi-Wan, the people of Kamino, Count Dooku and others to see his (or, indeed, Temuera Morrison's) face.
Boba Fett's armor in The Mandalorian is largely repurposed from his father, Jango Fett's - but his helmet was destroyed long before the events taking place in the Disney+ series, and well before the character's film debut in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
Grogu's mother is either Yaddle or some other female member of Yoda's species, but he has no father. Because just like Anakin, Grogu was born off the Will of the Force, with no dad, and that explains why he's so powerful at an age that's considered an infant for Yoda's species.
One popular fan theory says Grogu is a clone of Yoda. While there is circumstantial evidence to support that possibility, Grogu's age would seem to contradict that idea. The Jedi Council didn't even know about Kamino's clone army until Attack of the Clones set in 22 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin in A New Hope).
According to the events of "The Mandalorian" so far, Grogu and Yoda are not the same character. They are simply from the same species. The name of this species has never been revealed since "Star Wars" creator George Lucas wanted to give Yoda a sense of mystery.
Given the rarity of his species in the galaxy, along with the fact that the only other two known members of Grogu's species were both living in the Temple when he was born, it seems likely that Grogu is the child of Yoda and Yaddle and was born to help preserve their rare species.
Given that Grogu, Yoda, and Yaddle are the only known canon members of their species, it makes sense why some would try to draw a connection between the three of them. While Star Wars hasn't disproved the theory, it's highly unlikely that Yoda or Yaddle were Grogu's biological parents.
