Oogie Boogie decides to hold her hostage until Jack comes to save her and the town from his terror, and after being rescued by Jack, Sally instantly falls in love with him.
Sally is in love with Jack Skellington, but is unsuccessful in showing her affections to Jack. However, by the end of the movie, she manages to let him know how much she loves him and he reveals that he loves her in return. They share a passionate kiss on top of Spiral Hill.
Jack also now realizes he deeply loves Sally and how much she means to him, so he follows her to the graveyard to confess his feelings to her. Once Jack finds Sally sitting on the Spiral Hill, he sings and is able to confess his love to Sally where she reveals she loves Jack as well.
The 2022 Disney novel Long Live the Pumpkin Queen confirms that Sally and Jack were married and that Sally discovers her real ragdoll parents, concluding with the couple happily settled in Halloween Town.

Who was Jack Skellington before he died?
Jack Skellington's appearance in James and the Giant Peach as Captain Jack suggests that he was a pirate before he died, explaining his chaotic actions in The Nightmare Before Christmas.
On the album to the film, it is mentioned that years later, Sandy Claws returned to Halloween Town and saw Jack had four or five skeleton children. While not confirmed, it is assumed that given the ending to the film, Jack and Sally got married and started a family.
Jacks develops an obsession with Tella because she is his one true love that he has spent so long searching for. He often shows up out of nowhere to aid her.
The official film soundtrack CD contains an epilogue not in the film, stating that "many years later" Santa returned to Halloween Town to visit Jack, where he discovered that Jack had "four or five skeleton children at hand" who play together in a xylophone band.
And when he does, he is very polite and humble when he meets her - as when Sally calls him “Mr. Pumpkin King”, he insists she calls him by his first name and says that it's “always nice to make a new friend”.

Jack Skellington was once human. Some theories state his origin is tied to the Irish legend of Stingy Jack. In the story, Stingy Jack deceives the devil. Upon his death, God didn't let him into heaven, and the devil locked him out of hell.
She is a rag doll monster from Halloween Town, created by Dr. Finkelstein. An intelligent, yet inconspicuous woman, Sally yearns for independence, but is repeatedly restrained by her overprotective creator. She is also romantically infatuated with Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King.
Since the doctor physically created Sally, he feels a sense of entitlement to her. He is very controlling of her life and attempts to ban her from making her own choices.
Because of his envy, he wasn't too fond of Jack and really just caused trouble for the Town - which, in return, made Jack go on this wild and dangerous journey just to save Halloween. So he wasn't too happy with Boogie endangering his people and their holiday, and ended up banishing him in his Lair because of it.
He's a good guy, a hero, a Disney King; yet he's always seen affiliating with both good and bad guys. One moment he'll be buddy-buddy with Mickey Mouse, and then the next he's inviting Captain Hook for a stay at his party in his Disney on Ice segment.
As nice as it would be to return to see how their lives have developed since the movie ended, it would be difficult to match the expectations of viewers, who had decades to picture their future. For now, it seems that The Nightmare Before Christmas will never get a sequel.

Jacks, also known as The Prince of Hearts, is a Fate and the former heir to the Elantine Empire. He loves toying with Tella. Legend is the master of Caraval. He is first introduced when Scarlett Dragna begins to write him to come to their Island to perform for her sister Donatella's birthday.
He grew up with his childhood friends, Castor Valor, lyric, and Vengence. These three became the merrywood three. She finds out Jacks was the archer (efrom the story, killing his first love.) Lryic and Aurora Valor (Castor's sister) were in love, even though Aurora was Vengance's fiance.
At the epicenter of it was Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), pregnant with Adam's (Mark Grossman) baby, and with her current boyfriend and Adam's brother, Nick (Joshua Morrow).
Under Maleficent's orders, Oogie Boogie captured Santa Claus in Christmas Town to turn him into a Heartless and converts the present making machine into a Heartless making machine.
