The Empire Strikes Back showed Luke losing Anakin's infamous lightsaber during his fight with Vader. So, the bourgeoning Jedi needed a new weapon. He went back to Obi-Wan's hut on Tatooine, and there, he found designs for his green lightsaber. That's why his green lightsaber looked a lot like Obi-Wan's.
Luke acquired two notable lightsabers in the Star Wars movies, but the character used a third weapon in a recent comic. While the objects have been important aspects of the film series, the lightsabers have also been integral to canon materials.

What is the rarest lightsaber color?
The black lightsaber, or Darksaber to give it its proper name, is one of the rarest lightsabers in Star Wars canon. Despite its rarity in canon, anyone who has seen the second season of The Mandalorian is likely to be familiar with the Darksaber.
Luke's yellow lightsaber served him well for many years, but he ultimately lost it during a battle with the Dark Jedi Lumiya. In the fight, Lumiya struck Luke's hand, causing him to drop his weapon. Lumiya then retrieved the lightsaber and used it to attack Luke.
By the time Rey touches the weapon, Anakin has long been redeemed, and the essence inside the Skywalker lightsaber is constantly calling her to learn the ways of the Jedi and fight against the dark side in his place.
Built to replace his father's lightsaber, Luke Skywalker's own lightsaber contained a kyber crystal and emitted a green plasma blade. Its hilt was similar to that of Obi-Wan Kenobi's third lightsaber, as Skywalker modeled his weapon on his late Jedi Master's lightsaber, but simplified some of the design elements.
The fate of Luke Skywalker's old lightsaber appeared to be symbolic of his philosophy; it was shattered in a Force tug-of-war between Rey and Kylo Ren. Even its Kyber Crystal was broken. And yet, in spite of that, Rey succeeded in repairing the lightsaber in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Why Did Rey Bury the Lightsabers? Since Luke and Leia, her masters, have become one with the Force, this is her way of honoring them by putting their weapons to rest. It also shows that Rey is burying the past while carrying it with her — both in her spirit and in the lightsaber she now wields.
This explains why Rey could hear the lightsaber "calling" to her in Star Wars: The Force Awakens; she was destined to join herself to the same Skywalker legacy, and thus she was sensing echoes of Anakin and Luke beckoning her to them.

The movie novelization, however, did include a line in which Kenobi referred to "[his] brother Owen." Similarly, Owen Lars was explicitly described as the "brother of Obi-Wan Kenobi" in the Premiere Limited set of the Star Wars Customizable Card Game released by Decipher, Inc.
During the tests, Bridger had to overcome his fear of abandonment, and in doing so was anonymously guided by Jedi Master Yoda, who communed with Bridger from afar. The boy passed his tests and was given a kyber crystal from within the temple, which signaled he was ready to construct his own lightsaber.
Luke Skywalker eventually had the lightsaber in his possession after Yoda's death in 4 ABY. Five years later, he offered the weapon to Grogu in a choice against obtaining beskar armor. However, Grogu chose the beskar armor over the lightsaber and went back to Din Djarin.
The main reason for the change was that during the filming of Return of the Jedi, the crew realized that the blue saber did not look right during the battle with Jabba the Hutt. When shot in daylight, the blue would blend with the color of the sky, so George Lucas and his crew decided to make the change.
Meanwhile, Anakin is the only one with substantial training; he was recruited as a child and trained as a padawan in the Jedi Order in a more traditional way, as shown in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. Admittedly, Rey skills couldn't possibly be as developed as Anakin's or Luke's.
During his brief apprenticeship under the reborn Palpatine, Luke was forced to replace his green crystal with a red Sith gem. He ultimately wielded this red blade in rebellion against Palpatine, who had a blue-bladed lightsaber and overcame the Sith Lord.
