During their confrontation, Morbius bit Blade, who soon realized that his blood enzymes were not enough to protect him from his foe's unique form of vampirism. Though allegedly a daywalker since birth, Blade now transformed fully into the thing he hated most, manifesting vampiric fangs and a bloodthirst.
When Blade's mother was pregnant, a vampire named Deacon Frost bit her, which sent vampiric enzymes into Blade's bloodstream. Although his mother died, Blade was born as a human/vampire hybrid, which is also known as a Dhampir.
Accidentally turning himself into a vampire, Michael Morbius finds himself torn between his human and monstrous natures. Michael Morbius attempts to cure his life-long blood disease with experimental vampire bat science. In the process, he turns himself into a living vampire, tortured by his life-sustaining thirst.
In 1999's Peter Parker: Spider-Man #8, which debuted roughly a year after the film, Blade is hunting Morbius, and when he finds him, is bitten. Interestingly enough, the bite is but a small part of the plot and is almost inconsequential in the larger story.

This scene not only proves that Venom and Morbius take place in the same universe but also references Eddie Brock and Venom's actions in San Francisco, which have made them fugitives by the end of Let There Be Carnage.

Why did Morbius become evil?
To keep his disease in remission, Morbius must now feed on fresh blood regularly or risk death. His appearance and personality also shift, making him now prone to bouts of rage, paranoia, and bloodlust. During one of these early bouts of bloodlust and madness, Morbius' first victim is his friend Emil.
While it's up for debate, Blade is the strongest out of the two. He has the experience, the physical skill, and has seen too many creatures like Morbius to back down at all. He's fought with Morbius before and, while neither really won, it was the heroes who still saved the day.
Blade remained active in New Orleans, defeating the vampire Ulysses Sojourner and his own former ally, Morbius, who was under Sojourner's mental thrall. Blade followed Morbius to New York, where, while teamed with Spider-Man, Blade was bitten by Morbius.

The C+ score is the second-worst of any Marvel adaptation, ahead of only Fantastic Four (2015). Reviewing the film for Collider, Emma Kiely felt that the "central problem of Morbius is a lazy and uninspiring script" and added that "no weight or depth is given to any character."
Weaknesses. Hunger: The one true weakness Morbius has that supernatural vampires possess is that he must ingest fresh blood several times a week in order to maintain his physical and mental vitality. The longer he goes without blood, the weaker he becomes and the more likely he is to lose control.

Morbius may have made his debut as a Spider-Man villain but he has a long history of rivalry with Blade. Blade II could have seen them teaming up to take on the Russian vampires together. They, after all, became teammates in Spider-Man: The Animated Series before the first Snipes film was even released.
Dr. Michael Morbius, Ph. D., M.D., better known as simply Morbius, is an anti-heroic antagonist from Marvel Comics, serving as an enemy to Spider-Man, Blade, and Ghost Rider. He was a biogenetic scientist who was dying of a blood-destroying disease.
In actuality, as revealed on the DVD commentary by writer David Goyer, del Toro decided to change the villain for the follow up film. Morbius was tied strictly to Norrington, so he was dropped when the director left the franchise.
But if we're pitting them against each other, it looks like Venom would be the winner here. His abilities allow him to better adapt to changes in the environment and weapons that may be used against him. Morbius comes out exclusively in theaters on April 1, 2022.
Blade's history with the Lord of Darkness extends back into his comic book origin when he made minor appearances in Tomb of Dracula. While Blade hasn't permanently taken care of Dracula, he has proven repeatedly that he is fully capable of taking down this undead monstrosity.

In fact, Morbius is virtually immortal. He also can't convert others into traditional vampires. Instead, he changes those bitten into his own kind. His physiology is so unique that when he bit Blade, who was already half-human and half-vampire, the vampire hunter had an adverse effect.
Continuing his quest to satisfy his thirst, Morbius battles Spider-Man atop a mansion when the Living Vampire is miraculously struck by lightning. The freak accident seemingly cures Morbius of his affliction as he reverts to his human appearance.
