A grotesquely disfigured composer known as "The Phantom" haunts Paris' opera house, where he's secretly grooming Christine Daae to be an opera diva. Luring her to his remote underground lair, The Phantom declares his love. But Christine loves Raoul de Chagny and plans to elope with him.
When she falls in love with her childhood sweetheart, Raoul, the Phantom kidnaps Christine in a jealous rage and drags her down to his lair. She is forced to choose between the Phantom and Raoul, but her compassion for the Phantom moves him to free them both and allow them to flee.
Did the Phantom of the Opera actually love Christine?

Did Christine sleep with Phantom?
His ability to engage in intercourse is further demonstrated in the sequel to Lloyd-Webber's show, "Love Never Dies," in which it is revealed that the Phantom and Christine engaged in intercourse the night before her wedding, resulting in her pregnancy.
The day before her wedding, Christine had an affair with the Phantom, thus becoming lovers and between the two, Gustave was born. He was very close with his mother, more close with her than his stepfather. All his life, Christine told him that Raoul was his father, without revealing who his birth father was.

How old was Christine when she died in Phantom of the Opera?
Ok, this is entirely false. Christine was NOT 63 years old when she died. She was thirty. She was twenty during phantom of the opera, and ten years later, making her thirty, she died at Coney island.
The song focuses on the Phantom's seduction of Christine, but, at the end of the song, the Phantom sings a short reprise of "All I Ask Of You", asking that Christine be with him, instead of Raoul. She responds by removing the Phantom's mask, so that the entire audience can see his deformed face.
At the end of the movie, an old Raoul appears to be visiting Christine's grave. As he approaches her tombstone, he saw a red rose on the side of it—an indication that the Phantom has paid her a visit. There is nothing like this in the novel because the Phantom killed himself at the end of the story.

Christine faints in the movie when the Phantom shows her his wax figure of her (which is actually Emmy Rossum made up to look waxy and porcelain) in a wedding dress and veil. In the novel, he apparently drugs her on the way to his lair. Once there, she revives and becomes perfectly lucid.

In the end he starts to realize that his obsession with her is only love, but he also know her love is not towards him. He decides that he does not want to force her to live an unhappy life with him knowing she dose not truly love him so he lets her go to with Raoul.
Gustave Daaé II is the son of Christine Daaé and Erik (The Phantom), and the step-son of Raoul de Chagny. He first appeared in the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies.
I personally viewed the ending as Christine actually wishing to stay with the Phantom but leaving because he ordered her to, despite the fact that she knew he had murdered several people and threatened to kill Raoul, her fiancé.
Little Lotte is the name of a character in a poem called A Child's first sorrow by Andreas Munch. Christine and Raul used to read it before her father died, and Christine adopted the name. It is also a name of an old game where the little lotte has too chose from three items.
However, different from the original novel, at the end of the musical the Phantom does not die: after being left by Christine, he just abandons his lair and disappears leaving his mask behind.
