There are no consequences to using any dark arts in this game nor their associated talents. In fact, using all 3 unforgivable curses and the entire dark arts talents tree makes you OP. That's the only real consequence.
What happens if you use unforgivable curses in Hogwarts Legacy?
Any NPCs that are with you when you use them might have a shocked reaction and might verbally berate you for using them, but there won't be any gamified punishments. The curses cannot be used on Hogwarts grounds, reinforced by the game not allowing them to be cast while within the school.
Morality explained. While you can make certain choices and use spells that may be considered morally questionable, you cannot canonically be evil in Hogwarts Legacy. Essentially, there's no version of the story where you'll be recognised as inherently evil and rise up as a proto-Voldemort.

This game has 3 different endings, with the first 2 being completely meaningless in terms of both story progression and post-game playthrough. The first 2 endings are obtained after defeating the final boss of the game.
Later, in the Undercroft, the game gives you the option to turn Sebastian in or to let him get away with the murder of his uncle. Of course, in the real world, murder is a serious crime and should always be reported.

Surprisingly, after unlocking Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy, there are little to no consequences for using it. Even though the protagonist is using the most notorious spell to ever exist, they're never reprimanded by anyone (other than a few lines of generic dialogue from NPCs and companions).
The character has an interesting story path in Hogwarts Legacy revolving around his family and past, so you would be missing out on a compelling narrative if you turn him in. If you do turn Sebastian in, it will lock out additional content that could extend your time in the Wizarding World's darker side.
Does being evil in Hogwarts Legacy change the story?
nothing changes. The finale plays out the exact same way. No one ever mentions your decision to be evil and hoard all the dark magic power for yourself. You still celebrate your House Cup win with your friends and the game rolls credits.
What happens if you end up in Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy?
Inside Azkaban, players are met with Dementors and must help a wrongfully imprisoned individual while facing intense moments. After visiting Azkaban, players cannot go back, but it's still possible future DLC might expand the quest for other Hogwarts houses.

No, using Unforgivable Curses in the game will not result in a bad ending. The overall narrative remains unchanged, and there are no significant long-term consequences or repercussions for the player.

In the Bad Ending, your character again struggles to handle the Ancient Magic unleashed by Ranrok's defeat, but instead of getting help from Professor Fig, you absorb some of that magic into yourself. Gaining an extra burst of strength, your character is then able to seal away the remainder of the magic on their own.
After completing Hogwarts Legacy's story, players will gain access to two main story new quests; these being Weasley's Watchful Eye and The House Cup. The former requires players to complete the Field Guide, which means finding every single missing page.
He tells them that his wife Miriam would have loved them, and that "the wizarding world could not be in more capable hands." The scene concludes here, as do the story differences in Hogwarts Legacy's endings. Professor Fig will, unfortunately, die no matter which ending players opt to get in Hogwarts Legacy.

To unlock the good ending in Hogwarts Legacy, you must choose to contain the Ancient Magic in the Repository and carry the secret forever. The professor will admire you for this decision and stay by your side.
