In February 2023, Lilly reprised her role as Hope van Dyne / Wasp in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, released as the first film of Phase Five of the MCU.
With such a dramatic time span, the character obviously needed to be recast to accommodate Cassie's true age. Thus, Abby Ryder Fortson was replaced by Emma Fuhrmann to embody the teenage Cassie.

Why is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hated?
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it's sad to say, is not good. It is not good in many, many ways. The weirdly blank performances, the thunderingly dull fights, the nothingy plot: it is not good.
It is possible that Marvel altered Quantumania's ending to set up future MCU projects. In fact, not long before the reshoots began, a reliable plot leak offered a very different ending than the one that audiences eventually saw in theaters.
Being relinquished from her role in the MCU may provide Fuhrmann with more freedom to take on a larger variety of roles in the future, though she did also suggest that she'd love to have a different role in the MCU's future.
According to the filmmaker, there is no version of Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania that has Luis in it. From the get-go, they decided on the narrative that they wanted to tell and it just so happened that the character wouldn't work on it.

Hope's relationship with her father Hank Pym became distant after her mother Janet van Dyne was lost in a subatomic spacial void called the Quantum Realm. Instead of comforting his seven year old daughter, Pym became lost in his own grief and sent her away to boarding school.
Not only did the third installment in the Ant-Man franchise reject the same light tone of its predecessors, but the narrative was jumbled, its CGI was some of Marvel's dodgiest in years, and it somehow managed to waste one of the studio's most charming talents, Paul Rudd.
