In Wolverine Origins, Logan remembers meeting and training a fiery redhead named Natalia Romanov who would grow to become the former spy and Avenger called the Black Widow.
Natasha was later assigned to master spy Taras Romanov to begin her training as an assassin. Part of this training included combat training with Logan (who later became the Wolverine).
Orphaned as a child, she was rescued during an attack on Stalingrad by a man named Ivan Petrovitch Bezukhov, who looked after and trained the girl. As she grew older, Natasha's talents caught the attention of Soviet Intelligence, soon to be known as the KGB, and was recruited into their ranks.

Bucky ended up at the Red Room, an assassin training facility, where he participated in the Black Widow Ops program as a trainer—and that's where he met Romanoff for the first time. The two soon started having an affair.
In the comics, Natasha Romanoff was one of the Red Room's first recruits, selected by Stalin personally. Over the years, there have been many suggestions why the Red Room gave their girls that codename, usually based on the idea that the Black Widows are seductive assassins.
Since Black Widows are weak to sour, a weapon like a Sour Battle-axe or a Toenail Scimitar upgraded down the sour path would be ideal. Occasionally, the Black Widow will summoning a Black Widowling and eat it.
Natasha chose to be the sacrifice and so, Romanoff was 39 years old when she died, but the time travel in Avengers: Endgame creates a little bit of a complication. Romanoff and Barton used the Quantum Realm to journey back to 2014 so they could beat Thanos (Josh Brolin) to the Soul Stone by 4 years.
Trivia. Natasha is one of the few people to call Bucky by his first name, James. Bucky is one of the few people to call Natasha by her real name, Natalia.
Despite the ambiguity of her words, she might have simply meant, "You could at least recognize me from when you nearly killed me a few years ago." Natasha also could've been referring to their more recent face-off in Winter Soldier, sarcastically implying Bucky was being rude for not remembering their last fight ...
Black Widow's first romantic relationship was with a soldier named Nikolai, who she met while both were serving with the Russian Army during WWII. There was no backstory for the young soldier, but Natasha and Nikolai fell in love and were eventually married.
She also dated Hawkeye for while. The two were actually engaged for a time before she broke up with him to pursue a career as a vigilante. The love affair has been an on and off again issue with Marvel fans, though it has never been explored in the MCU.
While never explicitly stated in the films leading up to Avengers: Endgame, Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton have a romantic connection in their relationship, though they couldn't consummate it for various reasons.

Bucky is first referenced as the White Wolf is in the Black Panther post-credits scene with Shuri, where the children who come upon him in a hut call him that name in jest. In Avengers: Infinity War, T'Challa declares that the White Wolf has had enough rest and presents Bucky with a new synthetic arm.
