After his wife died in Fo. A. 61, on 22 September Sam left Bag End, and went to the Tower Hills where he was last seen by Elanor, entrusting to her the Red Book; according to her, he went to the Grey Havens to sail across the Sea and be reunited with Frodo in the Undying Lands.
After his wife's passing, Sam entrusted the Red Book of Westmarch to Elanor. According to Elanor, Same went to the Grey Havens and sailed to the Undying lands to be reunited with Frodo. As Sam was also a Ring-bearer (although only for a brief time) he was granted passage to sail into the West.
After recovering at the Field of Cormallen and witnessing the crowning of Aragorn as King Elessar, Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin all returned to the Shire.

After Aragorn's death, Legolas made a ship in Ithilien and left Middle-earth to go over the sea. His strong friendship with Gimli prompted Legolas to invite him to accompany him to the Undying Lands; making him the first and only Dwarf to do so. He was never seen again in Middle-earth.
Though Gimli has no children, he is not the last Dwarf of Middle-earth. After the fall of Sauron, his people continued to thrive in the Lonely Mountain. Gimli made his home in Rohan, in the Glittering Caves of Aglarond, and many of his kinsfolk came with him.
Critics such as Partridge, Esther Saxey and Marion Zimmer Bradley have stated that the relationship of Frodo and Sam is friendly and intimate, but not necessarily homosexual.
At the age of 102, Merry returned to Rohan and Gondor with Pippin; they died in Gondor, and were laid to rest among the Kings of Gondor in Rath Dínen, the street of tombs, then moved to lie next to Aragorn.
The purity of Valinor gives Frodo relief from his wounds since the presence of evil in Middle-earth keeps them fresh, and he likely lives a considerably longer life than he would have. Still, he doesn't live forever.
Summary. In the novel, there is a 17-year gap between Frodo taken possession of The One Ring and leaving the Shire on his quest. Gandalf has no reason to suspect Bilbo's ring was The One Ring, and it took him 17 years of searching before he could reach that conclusion.
Because of this, Frodo believes that if he leaves Middle Earth and sails to the Undying Lands (a place only immortal beings and Ring bearers are able to enter) that he will finally find peace and be able to live out the rest of his life free of physical and mental pain.

Yes, Frodo did see some of his friends in Valinor after he left Middle-earth. In J.R.R. Tolkien's book "The Silmarillion," it is mentioned that Frodo sailed to Valinor with Gandalf, Bilbo, and other Elves, including Galadriel and Elrond.
After the Battle of Bywater, it was largely restored to normal, and Frodo took up residence in the hole again. After Frodo Baggins left Middle-earth, he gave Bag End to Samwise Gamgee, whose family, the Gardners, would live in it for many years.
