According to Percy, Nico's hands are "as cold as ice." By the end of The Battle of the Labyrinth, he has a silver skull ring which was Bianca's last gift to him and is said to belong to his father (as stated by Hazel). He also has a Stygian Iron sword always by his side in his chain belt.
By the end of The Battle of the Labyrinth, he also wears a skull ring, a gift from his deceased sister Bianca. In The Titan's Curse, Nico is a composed kid who loves a trading card game called Mythomagic.
In The Blood of Olympus on page 157 it says: Reyna was studying him, probably trying to read his thoughts. She glanced down at his hands, and Nico realized he was twisting his silver skull ring—the last gift Bianca had given him.
It is later mentioned in The Blood of Olympus, that Bianca gave Nico a silver skull-shaped ring shortly before departing on the quest to find Artemis and Annabeth.
