The Bride fulfilled her mission in Kill Bill: Volume 2 and, as the title says, she finally killed Bill with a legendary death blow known as the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique, taught to her by martial arts master Pai Mei (Gordon Liu).
In Mexico, the Bride tracks Bill to a hotel and discovers that their daughter B.B. is still alive, now four years old. The Bride kills Bill using the five-point-palm exploding heart technique, taught to her by Pai Mai. Beatrix leaves with B.B. to start a new life.
The two begin to fight, but Beatrix traps Bill's sword in her scabbard and strikes him with the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique. Surprised that Pai taught her the attack, Bill reconciles with her, then falls dead as he walks away. Beatrix leaves with B.B. to start a new life.
She thus reclaims her daughter by defeating Bill's patriarchal reign over her life. But in the end, the heroine lies on the bathroom floor, crying over her lover's death and laughing with the joy of being reunited with her daughter.
Quentin Tarantino confirms that Elle Driver from Kill Bill is still alive, hinting at her potential return in a speculated Kill Bill 3. Elle Driver's fate was intentionally left ambiguous in Kill Bill 2, allowing for discussions and debates surrounding her character.

The reason he buried her alive instead of just letting her walk away is because he valued his own life, and he didn't want to die either. So with the flashlight and knife, at least she had some kind of chance. And knowing Beatrix, being buried alive was most likely just a simple obstacle for her.

Bill being alive and his “death” scene being nothing more than a play-act with Beatrix would hurt The Bride's entire story, as she wouldn't have fulfilled her main plan and she and B.B. would still be in danger, as Bill proved many years ago that he can't be trusted, and he would definitely seek revenge at some point.
In Kill Bill: Volume 1, The Bride wakes up from her coma, and by examining her hands, she realizes that four years have passed since Bill and the rest of the gang killed the wedding party and attempted to kill her.

The Bride's name not being revealed until Kill Bill: Volume 2 also added an element of suspense to the first movie, and it has also been interpreted as Tarantino's way of making the audience part of this element of mystery while also making them detach emotionally from her.
