At the end of the movie, Roshan is reunited with his tribe. Runar is particularly happy to learn that the baby has learned to walk during his time with Manny, Sid, and Diego.
She silently pushes the infant towards Manny and Sid before disappearing into the water. The two animals decide to search for the father and return the baby to him.
A human mother escapes a tiger attack, throws herself and her baby off a high precipice and into the water below. After clinging onto a branch in the water, she pushes the baby towards the Manfred and Sid in order to save her child. The mother is swept away by the current and disappears into the water.
Mom somehow survives the fall and, before she disappears beneath the frigid water, hands off her little bundle to a woolly mammoth (Manny, a disgruntled loner) and a sloth named Sid (a lazy, jabbering social outcast with a knack for finding trouble).

The problem with Ice Age 4 is that none of the new characters are memorable, funny, or charming. The effort just seems to be down here. Ray Romano, Dennis Leary, and John Leguizamo, still manage to breath some life into the picture, but the passion is clearly not there like it was in 2002.
