I absolutely LOVED this movie. It is my new favorite. I would rate it 10+, but it has some swearing, so I'm rating it 11+. It was very thrilling, and it's amazing to think that these actors had to train for three months to actually fly the planes.

Summary. Goose's death in Top Gun was not Maverick's fault, but rather Iceman's selfish desire to win caused the accident. Iceman's individualistic actions of not moving out of the way when asked ultimately led to Goose's tragic demise.
While it is possible Iceman makes this request because of Goose's son instead, it seems far more likely that Iceman made this decision due to Hangman being his own flesh and blood.
