Her sister Narcissa (another of Sirius' first cousins) married Lucius Malfoy, himself a renowned Dark wizard instrumental to Voldemort's rise. Harry also fought against their son (Sirius' first cousin once removed), Draco, a wannabe Death Eater tasked with killing Albus Dumbledore.
He marries Narcissa Black and together they have one son, Draco, who is the first Malfoy family member introduced in the series. The Malfoys are related to the Black family through Narcissa (a first cousin of Sirius Black, Harry's godfather), which makes Draco a nephew of both Bellatrix Lestrange and Andromeda Tonks.
Narcissa always despised the Blacks, but had great respect for those who did. The ones who dared to defy their family's beliefs, such as her older sister Andromeda and cousin Sirius Black, leading her to ignore and disown them.

Did Narcissa divorce Lucius?
In fact, Lucius' own support to Voldemort is revealed to come only under some form of duress, which is likely Narcissa's Veela Allure. When Lucius turns on Voldemort due to the reveal of his Horcruxes, Narcissa divorces him, taking 75% of Malfoy's wealth with her.
Persephone Malfoy, though not an inherently evil woman, is nonetheless a deeply flawed woman, albeit not of her own doing. Her flaws, however, served to contribute to a rather grim and unhappy childhood for Lucius, who was an only child.
