But those early reveals become tame in comparison to the true reality of 1899. That takes a while, however.

Almost all the eight episodes of the series ended on a cliffhanger which made the series all the more interesting. The only unfortunate part about 1899 is that Netflix has decided there won't be Season 2 despite the huge success that the drama series witnessed.
