They flew until they found a great leonopteryx. Assuming that it never looks up, because it has no natural predators to attack it from above, Jake flew his banshee above it, then jumped onto the back of the great leonopteryx and bonded with it, becoming the sixth Toruk Makto.
Before Jake, no Na'vi had accomplished the feat of connecting with a Toruk for four generations. By learning how to control and ride a Toruk, Jake Sully rightfully earns the title "Toruk Makto" and regains the trust and respect of the Na'vi after they become skeptical about his motives.
He is eventually accepted into the Omatikaya clan and becomes Neytiri's mate. He turns against the RDA and, after becoming the sixth Toruk Makto, leads the Na'vi in a battle to drive the RDA off Pandora. After driving off most humans, Jake guides the clan as a clan leader to honor Tsu'tey's dying wish.
At the end of the movie he releases the L. back into the wild and presumably goes back to his banshee. yeah, that sounds about right. he does release toruk and goes back to his old banshee.

Who is Kiri's biological father?
Augustine's colleague Norm Spellman (Joel David Moore) was the father and Grace conceived Kiri before the end of Avatar before somehow giving birth in her Avatar body. However, the more interesting theory is that Kiri is literally the child of Eywa due to some sort of immaculate conception.
At the end of Avatar 1, Sully decides he wants to remain with the Na'vi, and successfully undergoes the transfer. It's never stated in the films what happened to his body, but in the comic Avatar: The Next Shadow, it's revealed that the Na'vi buried his human form.
It could be an immaculate conception. There's a theory that the film director James Cameron could be hiding a vital feature of the Na'vi. According to that theory, Na'vi could reproduce asexually. Unless that theory is true, Grace was impregnated by someone.
Aided by a few sympathetic (human) scientists, Jake successfully leads the Na'vi in battle by driving out the predatory humans. In the film's closing scene, the Na'vi transfer Jake into the avatar body permanently, eradicating his disability and neatly delivering him from his original role as a white colonizer.
Toruk Makto is a Na'vi individual who successfully manages to ride a great leonopteryx (Na'vi name: toruk). There had only been five Toruk Maktos prior to Jake Sully, and they are spoken of with great respect and honor. It is said that only people who have "pure souls" are able to become Toruk Makto.
Spider's Mother Is Paz Socorro (Revealed In Avatar Comics)
It has been confirmed through Avatar comics that Spider's mother is Paz Socorro. While Avatar: The Way of Water takes place a decade after the first movie, James Cameron's original sequel script did not have as big of a time jump.
Jake becomes the sixth Toruk Makto and leads the Na'vi in a battle to drive the RDA off Pandora. After the battle, Jake's consciousness is permanently transferred into his avatar via the Tree of Souls.
They can also reach fast speeds at 25mph, which is around the speed of the fastest human athletes. Their lifespans are long but can vary greatly from 150 to 250 years. They are also sexually dimorphic with the males typically being 8-10 meters larger and having bigger, more colorful crests than the females.
Jake chooses Bob as his ikran and, unlike the other banshees, Bob confronts Jake and hisses at him, indicating that Bob chose him as well. Using a banshee catcher, Jake immobilizes the banshee's mouth and after a long struggle, manages to connect his queue with Bob's.
Kiri is the inquisitive and intelligent adopted daughter of Jake Sully and Neytiri. Not long after Grace Augustine's death, her dormant avatar was discovered to be pregnant, and Jake and Neytiri adopted the child when she was born.
The seizure is believed to have been caused by frontal lobe epilepsy which could also cause the other symptoms Kiri has been having, including visions and the belief that she's hearing Eywa. However, the Metkayina clan believe it's down to something more spiritual and is a result of Kiri's connection to Eywa.
Neteyam is the eldest child of Jake and Sully, and grew up with Spider. So, if Na'vi gestates for a similar period to humans, Neteyam is around fourteen years old. Lo'ak is the younger brother of Neteyam, but the two seem to be approximately the same age.
The Soul Tree is the heart of Eywa, the goddess that guides all of Pandora. Avatar: The Way of Water illustrates that Kiri has a special connection to Eywa, which means she can wield powers and feel her more deeply than other Na'vi.
Though there were some theories about Kiri being a reincarnation of Grace, that isn't quite the case. Instead, Kiri's origins are a little more complicated. She was naturally conceived and born of Dr. Grace's Na'vi avatar, adopted by Jake and Neytiri, and raised in the rainforest.
Kiri is the biological reincarnation of Grace and everything that Grace was before she was shot by Colonel Quaritch. Through Eywa, Grace's memories and consciousness were imprinted on an embryo inside her avatar body. This close connection with Eywa allows Kiri to adapt effortlessly to the ocean.
The first reason why Neteyam has four fingers while his siblings all have five fingers might be simple genetics. Since an avatar is a hybrid of Na'vi and human DNA, it's easy to imagine the genes that control the number of digits in the body competing with each other.
The sequel introduced us to the extended Sully family, but they'll be missing a member in the third movie, as Neteyam (Jamie Flatters) was shot and killed during The Way of Water's dramatic climax.
“We're into a very hectic two years of post-production right now,” Cameron told Campbell about the third film in his decades-spanning franchise. “So it will be Christmas of 2025.”
