When strong winds force debris to smash through the mansion, Lionel is pinned under a fallen support beam and Lex hesitates to save his father. In Season two, Lex saves Lionel but loses his sight because of Lex's judgment to rush into surgery. Lionel is initially shown as blind.
Lionel discovered that he was cured from his liver cancer and told Clark about the energy coursing through him that healed his liver. Ever since he returned to his body, with no memory of being in Clark's body and his liver completely healed, Lionel dedicated himself to helping others, to make up for his past deeds.
Lionel met his end in a season 7 episode after being killed by his son, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum). Lionel's original role in the Superman prequel series was shaped by his relationship with Lex, who secretly longed to earn the respect and love of his father.
Lionel Luthor : Lex is tracking a wraith from the Phantom Zone. I had to force Lana to marry him. It was the only way she could get close to him to get the information for me I need to you help.
It would seem that Lionel Luthor was removed from the show for story-related purposes. Glover has said in the past that his character would be “useless” once Lex turned evil, partly because Lionel's importance to the show was tied directly to his relationship with Lex.
Who does Clark lose his virginity to in Smallville?
Lana and Clark start a relationship. After Clark lost his powers for saving the ones he loved, he decided that he and Lana could have a real and honest relationship and finally start dating. During this time, Lana finally felt that Clark was totally open with her and the two lost their virginity to each other.
There, the doctor revealed to her that she was never pregnant and accused her of faking her pregnancy to marry a billionaire. However, her horrified face quickly disproved him and Lana realized that Lex had been injecting her with a massive amount of hormones to make her believe she was pregnant.
After this act and being possessed by Jor-El, Lionel grew closer to Clark and more distant from Lex, viewing Clark more as a son than Lex. to get revenge on Lionel for making her marry Lex. Lionel was murdered by Lex after he realized that Lionel knew who the Traveler was.
Chloe is at the Isis Foundation when Clark enters and tells Chloe about the message Lionel left for him and that the keys are the secret. Chloe says that Lionel left one of the keys for Clark in her desk, but Lex took it. Clark realizes that Lex killed Lionel for the key and super-speeds off.
Superman thwarts his plans and Luthor is seemingly killed by the dinosaurs he created. Luthor returns in Superman #5 with a plan to place hypnotic gas in the offices of influential people so he can throw the nation into a depression with the help of corrupt financier Moseley. The story ends with Superman defeating him.
In the show's final two seasons, Chloe finds love with Oliver Queen, otherwise known as the costumed vigilante-archer Green Arrow, whom she eventually marries and has a son with.
23 (1940), Luthor has been singularly obsessed with Superman, and his quest to destroy the world's first superhero has been relentless. In the 1960s it was revealed that his hatred was rooted in a childhood accident caused by the young Superman (then Superboy), which made Luthor go prematurely bald.
It's also revealed why Lionel is angry with Lex; he blames his son for the death of his youngest son Julian Luthor, although Lex took the blame to protect the true killer: Lillian (Alisen Down), Lionel's mentally unwell wife.
Lex's role in the early seasons proved that he genuinely cared about Clark and valued the close bond they shared. He had his faults from the start, but everything he did to help and protect Clark suggests that he was truly trustworthy.
She was integral to his battles with Brainiac, the reborn General Zod, Doomsday, Darkseid, and more. Thanks to her hacking skills, she served as a key asset to the Justice League as “Watchtower.” In Smallville's final season, Chloe married Oliver, and the two moved to Star City to start a life together.
It was revealed that Chloe was tortured and then killed herself with a cyanide pill to protect Oliver from Rick Flag. However it was later revealed that she'd actually faked her own death.
Darkseid. For the tenth and final season of Smallville, the show introduced Darkseid as the last big bad that Clark had to take on before becoming Superman.
Patricia also decided to move to Metropolis in order to be closer to Clark, wanting to be there for him, like her father before her. Unfortunately, while driving back to Metropolis, Patricia was shot and assassinated by her driver. Her death was ordered by Lex as afterwards he examined her bloody necklace.
When she learns that Lex set up a fake pregnancy in order to get her to marry him in the season six finale "Phantom", Lana effectively ends the marriage and fakes her own death to escape Lex after he threatens her. She also frames Lex for her murder, to punish him for his betrayal.
Years later, the post-Crisis Lana eventually married Pete Ross. The two settled into a quiet life in Smallville, where they had a son they named after their mutual friend, Clark. They picked this name for their son after Lana asked Clark to save his life when a car accident caused him to be born eight weeks premature.
The series ends by moving seven years into the future, where Clark and Lois are finally getting married, and Clark has embraced his new identity as "Superman".
It was a poorly-hidden secret that Chloe has been in love with Clark in some varying degree since the day they met, but her feelings were largely unrequited as Clark remains emotionally invested in his next-door neighbor Lana Lang (which Pete Ross described as Clark's "Lana blinders").
She was noticeably shocked when a hypnotized Clark cheated on Lana and when Lois and Lana found Clark rifling through Lana's things in her Metropolis University dorm room, Lois showed her disapproval. Despite this, Clark and Lois gradually built up a friendship, as he was often there when she needed help.
