Bio-volcanic nature When Rodan was stabbed by Mothra, a small amount of fire was seen erupting from the wound. Its bio-volcanic nature made it survive Godzilla's thermonuclear pulses, which would have killed any other kaiju.
It is explained that this is the male Rodan from the 1956 film and he was resurrected by accumulated volcanic gas, appearing in Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster in 1964 when he broke out of the crust of the volcano and helped Godzilla and Mothra defeat King Ghidorah.
Rodan was bested in his fight against King Ghidorah, being blasted out of the sky with a single Gravity Beam. Despite having the upper hand for much of his battle with Mothra in Boston, he was also ultimately defeated by her, falling to the ground after being punctured by her stinger.
In the pivotal showdown of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Mothra dies to protect Godzilla from Ghidorah. Despite this, her return in a future installment of the MonsterVerse remains a possibility.
Mothra. The first Mothra was already in butterfly form when discovered and had laid an egg on infant island. This Mothra died trying to protect her egg from Godzilla. After the first Mothra's death the egg hatched and released 2 caterpillars.

Symbiosis: Godzilla has a symbiotic relationship with Mothra as they are able to communicate using sonar over great distances, with Mothra using this ability to locate Godzilla and lead Monarch to his location to revive him.
In the MonsterVerse, the reason for the affection between Godzilla and Mothra can be attributed to their warm and symbiotic relationship, as well as their shared history and mutual respect.

Rodan remained loyal to Ghidorah even when the ORCA disrupted Ghidorah's global Titan control, possibly because Rodan was physically very near the three-headed alien Titan and in Boston, he acted on Ghidorah's behalf to keep Mothra out of Ghidorah and Godzilla's fight so she couldn't help Godzilla overwhelm Ghidorah.
Rodan. Originally, she said that she and Rodan were best friends, but Rodan thought it was not enough, because of his crush. Then she introduced him to her boyfriend, Ghidorah, causing Rodan to snap in anger. After breaking up with Ghidorah, she fell in love as well.
In the original Rodan, the two Rodans are depicted as horrific and dangerous creatures who, despite their destructive nature, care deeply for each other and are unwilling to live without the other.
Rodan is a pteranodon monster living inside a volcano, and is arguably Godzilla's most important ally. They first meet as foes in Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, but their fight ends with the two joining forces against Ghidorah.
Rodan (ラドン, Radon) is a giant pteranodon-like monster and the King of the Skies. He first appeared in the episode Earth's Largest Flier. He is also Godzilla's best friend (second to Anguirus) and "wing-man" and has also become one of Godzilla's most recurring allies throughout the series.

Biollante is a genetically-modified rose Kaiju hybrid created from Godzilla's DNA by the Devonians, making her Godzilla and SpaceGodzilla's half-sister. She fought against Godzilla on the Monster Islands, but was defeated and escaped into the planet's atmosphere.
