With Beatrix wounded and lying on the floor, Bill shot her in the head. Beatrix was put into a coma for four years, during which her child, B.B, was delivered successfully. B.B was raised by Bill, and when Beatrix woke up, she plotted her revenge against the whole Deadly Viper Squad and Bill himself.

Bill asks if Bud has kept up with his sword play, to which Bud remarks that he pawned his Hanzo sword. This we later find out is a lie, so clearly Bud is only saying this to wound his brother by leading him to believe he sold a priceless gift from his brother for only a couple hundred bucks.
