Creation. Sometime between 2013 and 2017, the original serial killer, Tiffany Valentine, split her soul after learning of the voodoo spell from her boyfriend, Chucky, and placed it into a modified Wedding Belle doll. The doll would then act as an accomplice to Valentine by helping her with Chucky's plans.
Chucky and Tiffany make plans to transfer their souls into Redman and Jennifer. Tiffany knocks them out and uses a turkey baster to inseminate Jennifer with Chucky's semen, intending to use her baby as a host for Glen's soul.
How Did Chucky Become A Doll In Child's Play? The 1988 Child's Play opens with serial killer Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) escaping from the police. Shot and wounded, Ray flees into a toy store and performs a voodoo ritual to transfer his soul into a Good Guy doll called Chucky.
Tiffany Valentine, portrayed by horror icon Jennifer Tilly, made her first on-screen appearance in 1998's Bride of Chucky. Canonically speaking, though, she was actually the girlfriend of Charles Lee Ray before he became a killer doll.

Tiffany Valentine loves Charles Lee Ray, aka Chucky, so much that she steals what is left of Chucky after his demise in the previous film from the police, murders the officer she bribed to get the doll parts, and is determined to revive Chucky.

When Charles was seven years old, after returning home from trick-or-treating on Halloween, he checked all his candy until he decided to pick up an apple that he received and noticed a razor blade stuck inside it. He bit into it regardless, he smiled after the razor blade cut into his mouth causing it to bleed.
He tries to use Andy to transfer his soul into since Andy was the first person to whom Chucky revealed his secret, and thus the only person Chucky could transfer his soul to, in accordance with the voodoo spell.
Charles Lee Ray was a character known as the Lakeshore Strangler who murdered 22 people before his death in the beginning of Child's Play. He is Chucky's original human form before he transferred his soul into a doll.
Chucky and Tiffany had, unknowingly to Jennifer, been planning to use her and Redman as their new bodies. In order to get Glen's soul into a human body, Chucky's semen is inserted by Tiffany into Jennifer so she can bear a child for Glen to use.
After the events of the film (and bear with me here, because this gets complicated): Glen murders Chucky for killing Tiffany, Tiffany possesses the soul of actress Jennifer Tilly, And a possessed Tilly gives birth to twin babies so Glen and Glenda can live on as humans.
Sometime later, Nica finally awakens to find Tiffany waiting for her. Telling her that they can finally be together, Tiffany remarks that she had to take precautions in case Chucky regained control. Nica then screams in horror as she discovers Tiffany amputated her arms and legs.

In Chucky, flashbacks (which are expanded upon to include a birthday party) put Charles Lee Ray around 8 years old in 1965. As such, the character was born in 1957 and is subsequently 31 at the time of his original human death.
He only became evil due to his sadistic desire to hurt and kill others, shown when his father was killed by the Hackensack killer, and decided to become just like him because he was inspired by the killers actions.
Chucky insists the child is a boy and should be called Glen, while Tiffany argues that they're a girl and should be named Glenda. When asked, the doll replies they don't know what they are. During the film, the doll switches between identifying as Glen and Glenda and changes their pronouns and presentation accordingly.
After her husband's funeral, she is kidnapped by Charles, but manages to call the police. Charles angered by her rejection, pulls out a knife and stabs her in the stomach before fleeing the oncoming police. Because she was pregnant with Nica, his actions cause her to be paraplegic.
The only way to get a real body again is to transfer his soul to the first person he revealed his true identity to. So, Chucky spends two movies trying to transfer his soul into young Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) but fails. First Andy burns and dismembers him (with help; he's six after all).
The Child's Play franchise is known for its brutal, high kill counts. Racking up the kills together from all seven movies, Chucky has killed a total of 67 people.
Eight years after Chucky's second demise, the Play Pals company resumes manufacturing Good Guy dolls and re-opens the abandoned factory. A splash of blood from Chucky's corpse is inadvertently mixed in with the molten plastic being used to produce the dolls, reviving him in an updated body.
Now going by "Tiffany Ray", Tiffany plans to transport her soul into the body of Jennifer Tilly (who happens to be playing her in the film). They also plan to impregnate her and put Glen's soul in the baby's body. Their plan is successful, as Jennifer swiftly gives birth to two babies, a boy and a girl.
Little did she know, that doll was about to be her new body. Chucky escaped from the playpen and killed Tiffany, transferring her soul into the bride doll she had made. Chucky eventually proposed to her after being impressed by her abilities and creativity as a killer, and it all got weirder when they had sex.
There, Tiffany manages to swap her soul with Jennifer's, shortly before the Tiffany doll is murdered by Chucky. Filled with rage, Glen/Glenda then kills their father. Five years later, it is revealed that Glen/Glenda's soul has been split between Jennifer's twins, allowing them to live as both a boy and a girl.
