Kill Count: Unknown, but likely in the billions? Nathaniel Richards aka Kang the Conqueror, one of the many variants of Kang introduced in Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, joins the billion kill club of MCU villains.
Summary. Kang's death in Quantumania was not caused by ants, but rather by a series of events that weakened him and allowed the ants to overpower him. Kang's death may have actually benefited the MCU, as Jonathan Majors' personal issues led to his firing from Marvel.
Quantumania's Kang Is The MCU's Second Variant To Die
The version of Kang showcased in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is different to the variant first seen in Loki's season 1 finale, He Who Remains, though they seemingly shared the same fate.
This isn't the first time that a variant of Kang the Conqueror has died in the Multiverse Saga; it's the third. Firstly, Sylvie killed He Who Remains in the Loki season 1 finale. After that, another variant was killed in the Quantum Realm at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quauntumania by Ant-Man and the Wasp.
He also ensures that some of the technology Kang will need gets invented (Tony's time travel machine). As he gamed this particular fight over and over, maybe more than 15 million times, He Who Remains chose this specific set of events. He caused Heimdall, Loki, Gamora, Black Widow, and Iron Man to die.
In Marvel Comics, the most dangerous version of Kang is none other than Immortus. Introduced in Avengers #10, Immortus represents a later point in Kang's timeline. After years of orchestrating all sorts of time travel shenanigans, the 31st-century time traveler rebranded himself as Immortus.
The Council Of Kangs Exiled Kang To The Quantum Realm
However, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's end-credits scene confirms that the Council of Kangs did indeed unite against him, and presumably any rogue Kangs just like him, despite seeming to be a corrupt group of villains themselves.
Kang the Conqueror views Conan of Cimmeria as a threat after seeing how powerful Conan was against Kulan Gath. Conan became an integral part of the Marvel Universe before Titan Comics gained the rights for the Conan franchise.
Prior to his appearance in Quantumania, though, Majors made his MCU debut in the Season 1 finale of Loki, playing one (of many) variants of his villain Kang the Conqueror named He Who Remains.
Mjølnir: Thor was wielding the magical Uru hammer, which he had lost when he was banished from Asgard. However, before Thor could retrieve the Mjølnir from S.H.I.E.L.D., he was killed by Hawkeye.
Kang the Conqueror got to really put his powers on display in Quantumania, specifically toward the end of the movie. Scott and co. had a challenging time fighting him, but eventually, they were able to destroy the power core of his time chair and kill him.

Kang and Doctor Doom are incredibly powerful in their own right. While Kang is a master of time with all kinds of futuristic technology at his disposal thanks to his Time Sphere and neuro-kinetic suit, Doom himself is an equal master of both sorcery and science as seen in the comics.
Summary. Kang the Conqueror has seemingly already killed many Avengers, including Thor, in the MCU, as referenced in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Kang, due to his instability, was vulnerable to self-deception, since the main justification for his actions was that he saw a creator god of realities by destroying others.
It was a brilliant ending in which killing Kang is not the answer, in fact not killing him is one of the only paths forward, but Loki forges a new solution, holding the entire multiverse together as the new God of Stories nestled in a cosmic Yggdrasil world tree.
He Who Remains and Kang the Conqueror are different variants of the same person, and Loki Season 2 revealed how they were connected. Victor Timely was another Kang variant, but fans speculated they all may be the same people at different points in their individual timelines.
Kang isn't physically stronger than Thanos, and if the two were to square up in a one-vs-one fight then the Titan would arguably win. However, Kang's knowledge of the multiverse means that would quite literally be several steps ahead of Thanos at all times. As a result, Kang wins this battle.
History. In the reality of Earth-18854 Kang had managed to kill Galactus. He then proceeded to kill Galactuses of other realities and harness their power, which eventually enabled him to consume entire universes instead of planets, making him Kang the Time-Eater.
