Cassian Jeron Andor, born Kassa, is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, primarily portrayed by actor Diego Luna. Introduced in the feature film Rogue One (2016) as a co-lead, he is the protagonist of the ongoing prequel television series Andor (2022–present).
This naturally means it features several other characters from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, given Cassian's links to the Rebel Alliance. The cast of Andor include some familiar faces, such as Genevieve O'Reilly's Mon Mothma and Forest Whitaker's Saw Gerrera.
But most of the “Andor” cast — which includes Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Fiona Shaw and Faye Marsay — are portraying new “Star Wars” characters.

In spite of their many differences, Andor and The Mandalorian share a deep connection. The three-part premiere of Andor delved into a previously unknown aspect of Cassian's life by using flashbacks to explore his childhood. Apparently, he grew up as a boy separated from his people by tragedy.
