Despite being 3 hours long, the movie is exciting and intense, which, together with the violence and scary scenes, makes it unsuitable for children under 12 years. We recommend parental guidance for children aged 12–13 years.
This movie is much milder than the first in most ways. There is much less language than there was in the first, with the exception of one f word near the end. There is nudity (for anyone who wants to have their kids look away, it is near the beginning when the kids visit the lab.
One f-word and about 15 s-words. We also hear “a–,” “b–ch,” “b–tard,” “crap,” “g-dd–n,” “d–n,” “h—” and the British profanities “bloody” and “bugger.” Jesus' name is abused once.
Avatar: The Way of Water has some nudity and sexual activity. For example: The indigenous peoples are mostly naked but their genitals are covered. A woman's breast is briefly seen as she breastfeeds her baby.
The fully grown avatar is much closer in appearance to the long-limbed Na'vi than to a human. Typical adult size ranges from nine to ten feet (2.75 to 3.0m) tall with blue skin, bioluminescent markings and large eyes with golden irises.
Her father is not a father, her father is another mother, Eywa, the Great Mother, the sentient life force of Pandora itself that exists in all things there, but is rarely understood. So essentially yes, Kiri was born from Eywa just like Anakin Skywalker was allegedly conceived by the Force itself and its midichlorians.
It is bad. Very very bad. The most personality-less characters throughout the entire movie - the kids bring nothing exciting: the two brothers look the same, the sigourney weaver girl is scary, and the human kid brings nothing to the story. The same can be said for pretty much all the other characters.
Lo'ak is attacked by an akula, a large marine predator. He manages to escape from it by hiding between coral. Due to being underwater for a while, he is forced to rise up to the surface. The akula spots and attacks Lo'ak who desperately faces the creature, armed with only a knife.

This rating is a stronger caution for parents that content included may not be appropriate for children under 13 (pre-teen ages). With less than a month remaining until its premiere, Avatar: The Way of Water has officially received a PG-13 rating from the Motion Picture Association. The description for this rating, per Filmratings.com, cites "sequences of strong violence and intense action, partial nudity and some strong language".
Watch the family edition. That gets most of the language out of the way. The movie is great, and I can't wait for the sequels! There is a hugging and kissing scene...
This film is visually stunning. It simply has to be seen on the biggest screen possible in 3d. That's the best way to enjoy this film just let it consume you. The story is one that most people can get behind and it's enhanced by the visual storytelling on screen.
Unless that theory is true, Grace was impregnated by someone. Kiri's brothers joke that the scientist Norm could be her father. The movie does not reveal much information about the birth of Kiri. It is unclear whether Kiri was conceived before Grace died and her avatar carried her to term.
