Edgar Wright's Baby Driver is one of the few movies coming out this season that isn't part of an existing franchise, based on a book or TV show, or inspired by true events. And, thankfully for creative risk-taking, it's already paid for itself.
Plot. In Atlanta, Miles, self-named "Baby", is a young getaway driver who lost his parents in a car crash that left him with tinnitus, and finds catharsis in music. He ferries crews of robbers assembled by kingpin Doc to pay off a debt as recompense for theft of a car containing Doc's illicit goods.
Baby is sentenced to 25 years in prison, with a parole hearing after 5 years served. He receives postcards from Debora, who promises to wait for him. Baby is released afterwards and finds Debora waiting in the same fashion he had previously dreamed of, and they kiss.
The inspiration for Baby Driver came to Wright a decade ago when Wright directed a music video for the band Mint Royale's “Blue Song.” The video, which Wright directed after his cult sitcom Spaced came to an end and before he did Shaun of the Dead in 2004, starred British comedian Noel Fielding.
For his role in Baby Driver, as a highly skilled getaway driver, Ansel was taught by some of the best stunt drivers in Hollywood and performed a number of stunts himself making him the perfect choice for the Jaguar Smart Cone challenge. I've driven fast cars on set but never anything like this.
The film ends with Baby being released from prison following those five years, finding Debora waiting for him. It makes sense why the film ends this way, forcing Baby to face consequences for his actions while allowing his genuine humanity to play a part in his eventual freedom.
However, lead actor Ansel Elgort is currently occupied with Max's Tokyo Vice series, while Wright is also involved with another project at the time of writing. Consequently, the production of Baby Driver 2 is expected to begin no sooner than late 2024.

This film uses music the way no other film has ever, It's stylish and has a cast that bring it to life especially Ansel Elgort,Jamie Foxx,Jon Hamm and Kevin Spacey bring a performance that almost tops all their others.
Eiza González is Monica "Darling" Castello, one of Doc's gang of bank robbers, Buddy's lawless and scandalous wife and partner in crime. The crew consists of easy-going Buddy, Darling, and trigger-happy Bats, who takes an immediate dislike to Baby.
In fact, the reason I decided to do 'Last Night in Soho' was because at the time when 'Baby Driver' was out, it was doing an awards run and got Oscar nominations, and I was getting a lot of pressure to jump straight into doing a sequel. And I just wasn't ready to do the same story again.

Jones made his feature film debut with Edgar Wright's Baby Driver (2017), in which he portrays Joseph, the deaf foster father of Ansel Elgort's protagonist.
