Unlike the novel or miniseries, Alvin is sexually abusive towards his daughter, Beverly. After she came home from the pharmacy, her father shows up in front of her and passionately sniffs her hair. This cause Beverly to have an emotional breakdown and cuts off her ponytail.

Unfortunately, Eddie is a victim of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy with his own mother as the abuser. This means Mrs. Kaspbrak has been faking all of Eddie's illnesses in order to have unlimited control over him. Even his asthma inhaler is a placebo or "gazeebo" as the 2017 version of Eddie so hilariously puts it.

For the boys in the Losers Club, that fear includes werewolves, mummies, lepers, evil paintings, and even giant birds. When we finally see Bev's fear, it is something a bit simpler and much more rational than any of the boys. The thing she fears most manifests as blood.

Throughout the novel, Beverly is consistently abused by the men in her life. As a child, she is physically and sexually abused by her father, Alvin. As an adult, due to the repressed memories of Derry, she marries Tom Rogan, who is physically and emotionally abusive towards her.
Anyone who read the book IT by Stephen King would know that Beverly Marsh's mother, Elfrida, passed away from cancer. However, in the 1990 miniseries and 2017 film, there is absolutely no mention of her mother.
Pennywise was always evil - or, more accurately, he never really existed. He was just a creation of IT to lure in children so they could be terrified and then eaten. Or so that IT could create chaos, incite riots and spread fear.
Elfrida Marsh is a character from Stephen King's novel IT. She is Beverly Marsh's mother and Alvin Marsh's wife. She eventually succumbs to her fatal cancer. In IT (film) and IT: Chapter Two (film) she passed prior to the events of the film.
