Katniss Everdeen Cinna talking to Katniss. Cinna, Katniss' stylist in The Hunger Games, was expected by Katniss to be like her prep team (whom she is not particularly fond of), but turns out to be a very decent person and quickly becomes someone she trusts.
Cinna: He was much more respectful of Katniss than Haymitch
The personalities of Cinna and Haymitch were vastly different. Cinna was very likable, calm, and easy to get along with as a person while Haymitch was rude and uncaring of what other people thought.
Their relationship was all friends. They trusted each other, but that doesn't mean they had romantic feelings for each other. Plus, Cinna's too old for Katniss.
He is so good at hiding his true allegiance that no one, not even Katniss, knew that Cinna was in fact a rebel and not just subtly rebellious, as revealed in Mockingjay, where his designs were given to Plutarch Heavensbee, someone who was not known to be a rebel either until the 75th Hunger Games.
Cinna is Katniss's intelligent, empathetic stylist and the creator of the iconic “Girl on Fire” look. Of all the people in the Capitol that Katniss meets, Cinna is the only one who shows awareness of the inequality and injustices that the outlying districts are subjected to.
As Katniss gets to know Finnick during the Quarter Quell, she sees he is in fact loyal, dutiful, and caring. For example, despite Mags being a burden on his chances of survival, Finnick does everything he can to keep the eighty-year-old alive because, as we learn, she was his mentor and he genuinely cares about her.
No, Cinna does not die in Mockingjay. He is executed for treason in Catching Fire. Right before Katniss is sent up into the arena, she sees the Capitol guards attack Cinna. They drag him away, presumably to be killed.
President Snow sees her as an enemy since her combination of popularity and low-level defiance constitutes a threat to his power. He dreams up The Quarter Quell as a way of getting rid of her and murders Cinna in front of her as a way of rattling her just before she's tossed into the arena.
Katniss made the choice to build her future with Peeta. If she didn't love him, she wouldn't have made that choice. Katniss made her whole world about getting the people she cared about to the next day, her choice to survive with Peeta proves her love for him.
After winning the games, Snow forced Finnick into prostitution and sold his body to Capitol residents to gain their trust. Finnick only agreed to take part because Snow threatened to torture his loved ones. Even though he bedded several women throughout his time as a victor, Finnick's love for Annie remained true.
He married a woman named Annia, with whom he had three children: two daughters and one homonymous son. His eldest daughter married Gaius Julius Caesar (the dictator and consul of 59 BC), probably during Cinna's second consulship in 86 BC; his younger daughter married Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus (who died in 81 BC).
Both Morphlings die during the Hunger Games in Catching Fire, after the female tribute from District 6 protects Peeta from the monkey mutations that attack the tribute. She dies in Peeta's arms while looking at the sunset.
The films, trying to be as faithful to the source material as possible, naturally had to include Finnick's death as well. In this sense, Finnick is the perfect candidate for upping the stakes of the plot via his death, as his hope for a future with his partner Annie made his demise seem even more untimely.
Chia Mags kisses Finnick on the mouth to briefly let him know that this is the last time she will see him. It's her way of saying "Goodbye" but in a more affectionate way.
Biography. During the interviews for the 75th Hunger Games, Peeta lied about Katniss being pregnant to try to protect her from the Games, and Katniss later stated that she miscarried due to an electric shock in the arena to avoid further questioning.
While the Hunger Games film never talked about it, the Catching Fire novel explained why she could only communicate through hand gestures. Katniss briefly mentioned that a previous stroke could have caused Mags' garbled speech. However, post-traumatic stress disorder could have also caused her speech incapacity.
Katniss is right to be afraid. She will have to stand by and watch helplessly as Cinna is beaten to death in front of her, all because he was brave enough to help her and broadcast his rebellious message to the people of Panem.
He reveals that he actually volunteered to take District 12—usually a stylist's last choice—but he doesn't say why. Cinna surprises Katniss because he looks relatively natural. Most stylists in the Capitol dye their hair, skin, or opt for plastic surgery that makes them unrecognizable.
Finally, Cinna gives Katniss the mockingjay pin that she's forgotten, reminding her of home. The reappearance of this pin recalls Peeta's desire to let those in the Capitol know they don't own him and stands as an image of hope and a sense of identity for Katniss in the Games.
Ultimately, then, Cinna's death scene func- tions not merely to demonstrate the savagery of mob rule but to also show that mob rule terrifies because it deconstructs the importance of names in favor of violence against a physical body.
