Elektra Natchios (UK: /ˈnætʃiɒs/, US: /-oʊs/) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, usually in supporting roles featuring the superhero Matt Murdock / Daredevil, to whom Elektra has functioned as a villainous adversary, love interest, and later, a heroic ally.
Elektra Natchios, mainly referred to as Elektra, is a fictional superheroine and anti-heroine from the Marvel Comics and Universe, appearing as the main protagonist of the titular comics, and a supporting character in the Daredevil comics.
Alexandra Reid manipulated a resurrected Elektra and took her under her wing, re-training her to truly become the Black Sky and the Hand's most lethal weapon. Elektra fought the Defenders, which reawakened her past self through her interactions with Daredevil, and dediced to take over the Hand by killing Reid.
After her resurrection, Elektra would go to war with the evil ninja clan, the Hand, and use her deadly skills to fight evil. She sometimes worked with S.H.I.E.L.D. but usually worked on her own. Elektra has long been playing the role of an anti-hero.
Whilst the Electra of Aeschylus is provocative, hostile and vengeful, she shows these attributes passively, often by proxy through her brother Orestes. She worships her dead father, but knows her place as a woman in the social and heroic order.
Portrayals of Electra in Ancient Greece did not generally present her devotion to her father as sexually motivated; however, since the early twentieth century, adaptations of the Electra story have often presented the character as exhibiting incestuous desires.
Electra was an important character in Greek mythology. She was the daughter of King Agamemnon and Queen Clytemnestra. Electra is known for having helped her brother Orestes avenge their father's death, whom their mother and her lover killed.
In the Marvel Mangaverse, Elektra is evil and works for the Hand. When she is first introduced she encounters Daredevil who at first refuses to believe that she was working for the enemy. After a tearful reunion they kiss and she says to him "You tried to save my soul once.
Her abilities border on the super human. Elektra can control her own autonomic nervous system to a degree, enabling her to control bleeding and fight infections, among other things. She can keep to the shadows and move with enough speed to remain unseen even in broad daylight.
181 (April 1982) Elektra is mortally wounded by the assassin Bullseye, a rival within the Kingpin's organization. She crawls to Murdock's home and dies in his arms. Elektra was soon resurrected, however, returning to life as a result of a mystical ceremony in Daredevil no. 190 (January 1983).
Daredevil's relationships tend to end in tragedy. His first real love interest was Karen Page, the secretary at his law firm. While their relationship had its ups and downs, Karen was tragically killed by Bullseye, who also killed another one of his girlfriends, the lethal assassin Elektra.
After breaking free and taking over the Hand by killing Reid, Elektra descended into nihilistic madness, helping the remaining Hand leaders return to K'un-Lun no matter who had to die along the way.
After forming Nelson & Murdock, Foggy hired Karen Page to be their secretary. Both Matt and Foggy were instantly smitten with the beautiful young woman. Karen and Matt fell in love, but his secret life as Daredevil always came between them.
They barely survive the experience, ending up exhausted on the cave floor. Their mentor Stick enters, holding an ancient Fist book, and begins reciting their wedding vows. Matt and Elektra each say 'I do' and with that Stick pronounces them king and queen of the reformed Fist, and husband and wife.
In “The Defenders,” we find out what that was all about. Elektra is, in fact, the Black Sky, and The Hand has worked to remove her memories of her former life. She's a powerful fighter who seems to be super-strong, fast and resilient.
Elektra had already decided to reform The Fist to end The Hand, but she needed Matt's trust to do so. And because Matt had no faith in her, Elektra resolved to prove herself worthy by becoming the new Daredevil in DAREDEVIL (2019) #25. While Matt languished in prison, Elektra assumed his mantle and fought by his rules.
“She's basically a sociopath,” says Yung in an interview. “That's basically how I played her. She can't bond properly with anyone. For her it's a game.
Weaknesses. Psychic Feedback: It is unclear what the limitations on her psychic ability are. She may be limited by touching distance or to minds easily affected by persuasion; the last time Elektra tried this trick, it was with S.H.I.E.L.D.
Gang War Proved Elektra Is the City's Most Efficient Crime-Fighter. Fans will likely never be done arguing whether Matt Murdock or Elektra is the better Daredevil. However, it certainly seems that Elektra is the more effective protector of New York.
It's for this reason that Elektra proves herself to be perhaps the greatest fighter in the Marvel Universe, and one of the few people to take on Wolverine one-on-one and defeat him despite his mutant healing factor.
Electra, in Greek legend, the daughter of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra, who saved the life of her young brother Orestes by sending him away when their father was murdered. When he later returned, she helped him to slay their mother and their mother's lover, Aegisthus. Electra then married Orestes' friend Pylades.

Hades is possibly the most common modern go-to for writers looking for a Greek mythology villain. His status as King of the Underworld and God of the Dead seems to have linked him to Satan in the eyes of modern writers, and made him easy fodder for villainization.
