Gotham Knights is its own story, only comic tie is Gotham Knights - Gilded City which goes over the last case the crew worked with Batman, and also touches on a new character from the 1800s named Runaway who fought the Court of Owls during that time.
Batman: Gotham Knight is an animated direct-to-video movie that borrows the setting of Christopher Nolan's Batman movies. While the producers have acknowledged that it is not meant to be a canon part of the Nolanverse, it is a cross section of six interlocking stories that reveal Bruce Wayne's journey to Dark Knight.
And they're able to do that because Gotham Knights plays fast and loose with canon. We get hints of established characters and Batman's Rogues Gallery, without retreading the same old characters and storylines. The show also moves away from being Bruce Wayne/Batman's story, which is a trend that I love.
Is Gotham Knight canon to the Dark Knight trilogy?
Although not officially canon, Gotham Knight effectively captures the tone and iconography of Christopher Nolan's initial Gotham. The anthology film is comprised of six stories, each with a different anime style, and features Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman.
Speaking at DC Fandom, creative director Patrick Redding explained that they wanted Gotham to be without a safety net. He added that Gotham Knights' Batman is killed in an unexplained circumstance after keeping the city safe for about 15 years.

The timeline in Gotham is really weird but in the pilot episode he's 12 and I think by the end of the season a year has almost gone by so he's 13 by the end of season 1. Then 14–15 in s2, 16 in s3 and 17 in s4a.
Code Black was a contingency created by Batman in the case of his death. A transmission is sent to Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood and Robin telling them that Bruce is dead, the Batcave was destroyed as part of the contingency, and that he's leaving them the Belfry to use as their new base of operations.
One reason as to why Gotham Knights may only be playable in two-player co-op may be an emphasis on stealth gameplay. The Batman: Arkham series always featured many segments where the player could choose to tackle enemies in stealth, instead of fighting them head-on.
Clark Kent may not appear in Gotham Knights in the flesh (or perhaps he will, who knows), but fans can expect to face off with an evil Superman in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Gotham Knights is scheduled to release on October 21, 2022, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Knight of Gotham is a TV series that airs on the CW and is about Bruce Wayne returning to Gotham after twelve years abroad.
