By the time audiences see Grindelwald again (chronologically speaking), it is several decades past the Fantastic Beasts movies, and he is an old man. Once Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows revisits Grindelwald's fate, it is 1998, making the wizard over a century old at the age of 116 or 117.
