The film will appeal to all ages, but because of its content, is more suited to older children and adults. The main messages from this movie are to be true to yourself, tolerant of those who are different and accepting of the special gifts and talents of every individual.
HAPPY FEET contains some strong moral elements extolling truth, perseverance, dedication, determination, and self-sacrifice. Its worldview, however, is strongly Romantic about looking inside yourself, finding the true song in your heart, and being true to who you are.

Parents need to know that Happy Feet is an appealing animated film with catchy music and well-meaning messages alongside some suggestive content and stereotypes. There's sexy talk and suggestive behavior from the very beginning, which the movie justifies through the plotline of penguins seeking mates.
He stumbles upon a different species of penguin who dance – not sing. The little guy is warmly received as one of them even though he is different. The moral to the story is – being different shouldn't matter. Inside we're all the same – human or penguin.

I'm not sure that's supported by the film, which makes a point of implying that baby feathers are shed once the penguin meets the requirements for sexual maturity, which was singing one's heartsong.
Other than the flippity-flappity of the lead lovable character it is the subtle references to the ignorant human intervention in nature's food cycle that elevates George Miller's Happy Feet into a superior film, way above the other similar films in its genre, ultimately making you tear up regardless of your eating/ ...
