Superior picture quality is the main thing. Dolby Cinema uses twin laser projectors for a true 4K image with amazing contrast and colors. Digital IMAX always looks a little out of focus and dull to me, on par with the regular digital cinema — albeit larger. The sound is better in Dolby as well.
