Parents need to know that It Chapter Two is the follow-up to the hugely successful It (2017); both films are based on Stephen King's novel. This one -- which is more centered on adults than kids -- is very long and less scary than the first, but it's definitely entertaining, with great characters and true teamwork.
The old version specifically use music so it is easy to predict when something will jump out on the screen. It is meant to make the moment suspenseful, but it comes off as cheesy. Both movies share the same theme song. The lack of music in the new movie is what makes it even scarier.
Chapter 1 is the better film, but the second film is better than the second half of the mini-series on the whole and again it is a more than admirable and brave attempt at adapting an extremely difficult and near-unfilmable book. While there is a good deal to recommend, there are some glaring problems.
It: Chapter Two is rated R by the MPAA for disturbing violent content and bloody images throughout, pervasive language, and some crude sexual material.
It: Chapter Two is arguably even scarier than the first film, following Pennywise's return to torment the adult versions of the kids from Derry it once battled. And while the old lady scene and the fortune cookie catastrophe are memorable moments, it's the Paul Bunyan scene that wins for the creepiest of the film.

Why Art The Clown Is The Scarier Than Pennywise. First and foremost, Art the Clown is a human serial killer, unlike Pennywise. Though he does possess supernatural abilities, his kills are marked through very brutal — and very human — means.

It chapter 2, I must admit is way worse than the 1st one, it shows things like organs, naked people, suicide and stabbing but I think it's still an amazing movie!!! I would say 13+ because it is really upsetting at some points (no spoilers) and it includes skulls and lots of swearing.
