Jafar is the main antagonist of Disney's Aladdin franchise. He is a power-hungry Royal Vizier of Agrabah who was presented as the Sultan's most trusted and loyal advisor, and serves as Aladdin's arch-nemesis and Iago's former boss and owner, and former partner of Gazeem and Abis Mal.

Jafar displays narcissistic tendencies, his most obvious ones being his obsessive desire for power and sense of entitlement. However, his lust for power does not stem from a mere desire for authority (though this is a motivating factor), but rather an intolerance for subordination.
Jafar has no morals at all. He's willing, even eager, to kill Aladdin. He wants to become Sultan because he's a complete megalomaniac who can never be satisfied. He wants his revenge on the present Sultan - under whom he has risen to the role of Grand Vizier, because he was born into the position.
What Makes Him Pure Evil? Upon gaining control over Genie, he uses his newfound magical abilities to banish Aladdin and Abu from Agrabah and to distant lands. He also unravels Magic Carpet to prevent them from returning. He usurps the throne of Agrabah, imprisoning the Sultan and enslaving Jasmine.
Jafar's crimes include attempted murder, abuse of power and theft. His greatest crime, however, is kidnapping people using the power of magic – a conviction that'll see him spend the rest of his life behind bars.
However, Iago tried to attack Jafar in Aladdin's defense. The sorcerer managed to hit Iago and nearly killed him, but the bird managed to muster up enough strength to kick his former master's lamp into the lava, destroying the lamp and killing Jafar for good.

He can solve problems very quick and can make sure something is done right. He is also very sneaky. He is able to plot his whole plan to take over the palace without the king knowing. He can trick all the men working at the palace and can also be a very high ranking.
The villains are antagonists in different worlds, such as the Villains group led by Maleficent, with Pete as her main henchman, Hades in Olympus, Jafar in Agrabah, Ursula in Atlantica, Oogie Boogie in Halloween Town, Captain Hook in Neverland, and Scar in the Pride Land.
In Aladdin (1992), Jafar 'steals' the Sultan's ring, stating he will use it to find Jasmine's suitor. While his intention was to find the 'diamond in the rough', he also found Jasmine's eventual husband.

Jafar reads aloud from the ancient scroll he so cleverly doctored, and proclaims that now he must become Jasmine's husband, and – most importantly – the next sultan! Jasmine and the Sultan try to stop Jafar, but to no avail, for Jafar now holds the power of the lamp.
Jasmine confronts Jafar and demands that they release Aladdin, but he tells her that Aladdin has already been executed; Jasmine is left distraught, starts crying and blames herself, realizing that she never learned his name.
Jafar's Snake Staff is a cobra-headed scepter owned by Jafar, in Aladdin. Initially and primarily used as a means of hypnosis, the ruby eyes made those who gazed into them become susceptible to Jafar's suggestions and obey his every order. It was eventually destroyed by Aladdin when he discovered its true function.
Nasira is the main antagonist of the 2001 Disney videogame Aladdin: Nasira's Revenge. She is Jafar's fraternal twin sister who tried to resurrect him in the game, and bears many similarities to the fairy witch Maleficent.
