Draco Malfoy is one of the main antagonists from the Harry Potter series. A magical purist, school bully, and our titular hero's rival, Draco spends his time tormenting the Golden Trio and continuing to give his fellow Slytherins their bad name. But what if Draco Malfoy was more of a victim than a villain?
In Harry Potter's world, Draco represents a classic antagonist. However, he is far more complicated than that. He brings a lot of trouble to everyone's favorite trinity, but he also has a fair share of moments that prove he is a good guy. His early upbringing and uneasy circumstances just damaged him.
Having gone through the horrors of the second wizarding war as a Death Eater, Draco abandoned the pure-blood beliefs he was originally devoted to, and grew to become a better person than he was in his youth, growing more tolerant and accepting of the non-pure-bloods of the wizarding world.
Voldemort believed that Malfoy had not truly renounced his old ways, but mildly doubted his loyalty because Malfoy had fled the Dark Mark at the 1994 Quidditch World Cup. Even though Harry witnessed Malfoy's declaration of loyalty to Voldemort, almost nobody in the Ministry believed him.
Malfoy hated all the attention Harry recieved . Malfoy thought Harry was a dark wizard, he tried to befriend Harry but he refused because of the way Malfoy treated Ron whom he already made friends with. That's why Malfoy hate Harry for turning him down.

Why does Draco hate Hermione?
Draco's belief in the superiority of Pure-Blood status influenced his prejudiced behavior, including calling Hermione a "Mudblood," but he eventually sought redemption by breaking away from the Death Eaters and saving Harry's life.
Throughout the 1996–1997 school year, Draco Malfoy would go to the washroom to find company with Moaning Myrtle, confiding the stress of his mission and fear of failing it.
Not knowing whether Draco was alive or dead, Narcissa chose to lie to the Dark Lord rather than risk losing her son. When Voldemort asked her to check if Harry was dead and she realised he was, in fact, still breathing, Narcissa seized her opportunity.

He's, like, a side character that you wouldn't expect to be attractive, which makes him even more attractive. He just gives off a different vibe than other characters who are supposed to be evidently good looking. Also, the fact that he was broken and tried to be a good person also makes him even more attractive.
J.K. Rowling said that Draco had a crush on Hermione Granger, but he doesn't show that, beacuse Hermione was a Gryffindor, Harry's friend, and also a muggle-born. After the Battle for Hogwarts, Draco fell in love with Astoria Greengrass, and they had son Scorpius.
Barty Crouch Jr. despises Draco Malfoy when they meet in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and there is a good reason why. In the fourth Harry Potter film, Barty Crouch Jr. is enlisted by Voldemort to infiltrate Hogwarts to get closer to Harry Potter.
Salazar Slytherin did not think muggle borns should be accepted to Hogwarts, and the Malfoy's and Voldemort followers strongly agree with this. So Draco was probably a bit scared to go against what his family thinks. Overall, a lot of Draco's meanness is because of his family.
Coming from an incredibly egotistical and snobbish family, Draco didn't know how to deal with someone else being more sought after and beloved than himself. As many bullies do, Draco masked his jealousy with hatred and fought Harry at every chance he could.
Their first kiss happens on the front steps of Malfoy Manor. Harry brings Draco his wand after speaking at his trial, “This is yours; thank you.” And this time, Draco won't let him walk away. Harry turns to leave and Draco grabs his arm, turns him back and kisses him.
Draco Malfoy's mother Narcissa was cold, cunning and devoted to the Dark Lord. But she was also a mother, which meant she was willing to risk everything to make sure her son was safe. When Harry survived Voldemort's Killing Curse for the second time, Narcissa pretended he was dead so she could get to Draco.
Just as Dumbledore said, he is not a killer. Fans love Draco so much because they understand his story. Readers can relate to the inner struggle between what you were taught to do and what you feel is right individually. Fans can sympathize with Draco by how he grew up way too young.
In his memoir, Felton said that Fiennes improvised Voldemort awkwardly hugging Draco Malfoy. "It gave me goosebumps then, and the memory gives me goosebumps now," Felton wrote.
He didn't care about the bird. His tears were due to the fact that since the bird had died, he had failed once more to repair the Vanishing Cabinets. Draco needed to repair them in order to give the Death Eaters a safe way to infiltrate Hogwarts. Failure meant death, Voldemort had made that very clear.
But in Harry's narration, where he was paying attention to the smallest steps Draco took, there was never a sexist behavior of him towards any girl. During the whole saga he was never close to any girl other than Pansy, and it was never confirmed whether they dated or not.
In the books, Pansy Parkinson has a schoolgirl crush on Draco, and they went together to the Yule Ball. However, there was no true love between them. In the Cursed Child, Draco Malfoy's wife is Astoria Greengrass. Later, after Astoria's death, Draco says that he would “sell [his] soul for another minute with Astoria.”
In some parts of the saga, Draco even seems obsessed with Hermione. Even though he considers Muggle-borns to be inferior, he hasn't ever picked on one other than Hermione.
